Just for info - The rating for the engine oil for Octy recommended 5W-40 (as stated in the AutoBahn manual for automotive).

You can totally ignore the 5W rating, thus you can use 5W-40, 10W-40, 15W-40, etc engine oil. What is important in our climate is xxW-40.

Just some minor info to share

also, Brake fluid is Dot-4. Coolant are OAT (????) Organic Acid ???? or something like this. Which is the Orange color type. Green color type cannot hor.

Any other fluid you need to know???? (Dun even bother to ask about my body fluid [:p] )

Veron, hope you dun mind, but I have reposted your costs in the thread: SKODA SERVICING COST so that in the long un, we have a compilation of their pricing in one location.

Dun worry , didnt include ur comments on their staffs on the open forum.

I think I mentioned before something abt Sammo. Today I m served by Wei Peng. Both same style one.

Would prefer Satria anytime man!

Meow, the servicing cost are posted in the Open domain :

Fellow Skodians, suggest you post your invoice details at this thread. Sensitivce comments reserved in here - ie Skoda Lounge

These CA people read the forum so if they see other non-Skoda owners flaming them for expensive pricing, CA might reconsider their prices (wild thoughts).

Also, we must never let them in the pte discussion. Dun even tell them or anyone there is such a thing!

Meow..............Thanks Veron for the information.

Wah! Reset service meter cost (Duno they use VAG tool for the servicing) we can do it ourselves.

They use mineral oil is beco it a free item, if not they will recomm syn oil. For new car Meow believe syn oil is the best.(Engine oil cannot save one)

I find it unbelievable that resetting the meter also cost money!!!

Their pricings are quite questionable sometimes... yes, agents are normally more ex, but aint they going a little too far?

actually this was the problem which most the pioneer batches faced. Whereby the window just dropped while trying to wind down. Mine was unfortunately late in happening, thus resulting in no stock. Hope you get what i mean.. i hope they don't charge me for that coz its a manufacturer's fault in the 1st place

Their charges now confirmed very crappy!

If this is the kind of service level that CA is coming out with.... I rather not go liao. Guys, if u go to CA, u know what I mean.... try talking to Sammo and WeiPeng abt ur problems...and you will experience. Also the final bill might also give u a surprise.
