Mike, it's the reverse lights and not the brake lights that can be upgraded to 55W halogen I'm discussing with Luke.

The LEDs for brake, signal and dim lights are low wattage and generate minimal heat. I'm still looking out for them [;)]

Sorry..........wrong channel! [:p] Yeah, LEDs are a good option.

Hmmm, u notice the traffic lights uses clear cover whereas the TIBS buses, they dont.

Those bright traffic lights LEDs do stand out under direct sunlight, but those TIBS buses, I cant even see them light up under some daylight condition.

BTW, only some of them, especially those benz standard length bus.

You're right about the clear lens. With colored lens, it will block out the light from the LEDs. It also doesn't make sense because LEDs are available in plenty of colors so getting red and yellow LEDs should be no problem. If colored lens is to be used, the LEDs should be white and plenty of then should be installed. The LEDs from the traffic lights are bright because there are plenty of them in each cluster.

It shows that LTA engineers are good while TIBSs' are klutz! [;)] Copy also must copy properly mah! [crazy]

A few actually jus for fun [:p] . Jag, Beam, Lex, but man, the S40 T4 really rocks! The pickup and push from standstill was quite phenomenal! Next week, I might go test the T5 or T6. [cool]

So many cars in a day! [shocked] I'm sure you had some fun! [:)]

Just want brighter and whiter dim light to accompany my fogs when I drive without headlamps on......don't flame me! I drive with my fogs only when there's drizzle or when the evening is cloudy before 7pm. [angelic]

Good point, the LED cluster must be designed to be similarly sized as a standard tungsten bulb

I have seen in us vortex that there's only 1 LED bulb used, although some thing is done to ensure that the base is big enough to plug into the socket.

Beware though! LEDs do not work with all cars as I tried them on a Bimmer and it fails to detect the LED bulb. Had to sell them to a Corolla owner. [:/]

Yeah I know this problem from some US Volvo owners, they had the bulb failure warning light on when they replaced with LED bulbs.

i think brick requires 23W bulb, if u replace with a 21W unit, the lamp failure warning lamp will be lit?

It's probably a case of the computer being too smart! [:p] BTW, did the LED light up when switched on?
