LED bulbs for parking light

i dun think can connect the LEDs direct to car as bulb replacement. 12V vs 1.5V

 

U should either need a resistor to drop the voltage else will end up 100/100% blown LEDs [laugh]

So did U note the resistor in the diagram shown by C-man? The LED had a resister connected in series before the adaptor is soldered on. [;)]

Beware though! LEDs do not work with all cars as I tried them on a Bimmer and it fails to detect the LED bulb. Had to sell them to a Corolla owner. [:/]

 

It's probably a case of the computer being too smart! [:p] BTW, did the LED light up when switched on?

 

No, it did not! and the side markers came on to supplement the 'blown' parking lights!
