Disc brake area got rusty easily

yes those I've heard.. good braking effectiveness, but wears off quickly, both pads and discs.

 

There are also carbon and magnesium brakes used in racing cars...

Actually polymer would be a better term, since 'plastic' strictly speaking is a material state (as opposed to elastic) more than a material type (which would be the broad category of plastics)

Don't worry! I was on biz trip for 1 week and when I came back the discs were rusty as well. Engine can even start on 1st crank! Forgot to ask MCFers here to help me start and warm up...kekekeke

I think i should put some anit rust oil on it since I am going on vacation and wont be driving the car for at least 3 weeks. Else ppl will know the car has not be driven.

 

 

 

 

 

 

no, do not put oil....leave it as it is.....get some one to start and drive your car once in a while....

hope to see the day when they invent a plastic based brake disc with the durability of metal.

 

And do u think they work as efficient as metal?? I doubt so... so i rather stick to exposed metal for my discs....
