Zakuii 1st Gear April 2, 2007 Share April 2, 2007 Paiseh, it is 195/65R15 for $95. My tires has more rubber compared to 195/50R15, so it is much cheaper than $105 for the 195/50R15.
Tploh Clutched April 2, 2007 Share April 2, 2007 (edited) I think I got it wrong about the mfg date. I observe another set of alphnumerics of about 11 digits. Think this should be the DOT code. The last 4 digit is 5006. Another wheel is 5206. The 0301 is an isolated number. So i think the mfg date should be 50/52 week yr 2006 rather than 03wk yr 2001. The wheels looks new to me. Wonder what does 0301 mean? This new set of tyres is quieter than my stock tyre and over long distance highway do feel more comfort ride. But acceleration is slightly less willing and climbing upslope feels more pullback. And FC is worsen. Just feel that my ride would be more quieter and no compromise on the accelaeration and minimum FC worsening if I got 175/65/14. This make sense as I don't think the GR80 was launched in the year 2001. Edited April 2, 2007 by Tploh
Carchngchia Clutched April 2, 2007 Share April 2, 2007 oh ok.$95.00 is quite reasonable price. This tire shop at Toa Payoh,E** W** I remember quoted me about the same price plus minus $3.00.

Hiphiphoray 6th Gear April 3, 2007 Share April 3, 2007 (edited) Im thinking abt changing my tires too. Mine is 195x60x15 profile. I got a quote of $488 for 4 x GR80 tyres from Autobacs(Bukit batok). Hiphiphoray 6th Gear April 3, 2007 Share April 3, 2007 Just got a latest quote. Eng Wah quoted $94 per tyre...including wheel balancing. So total for 4 tyres (GR-80) will cost $376/-. Quite a good price.
BoneStock 5th Gear April 3, 2007 Share April 3, 2007 wheel balancing is included by default. 94 is for 195/60 R15 GR80? Price is good, I may pay EW a visit too cos my tyres are almost due for change.
Boyboy 1st Gear April 3, 2007 Share April 3, 2007 but i can get this tyre 14" for $50 each is it cheap? how come the price difference of $50 for 1 tyre.. april fool joke ah??? btw, very good price. worth for u to consider, if u still on 14" rims. I used GR80 on my kangoo before, and i must say that it can take occasional spirited driving , in addition to its quietness n comfort . btw, the rubber compound is pretty sticky when warm, perhaps that's why i found the grip very decent for a "comfort tyre"
Password Neutral Newbie April 3, 2007 Share April 3, 2007 I just change my rubber 195/60-15 at $449 with GST @ Eng Seng. Should have waited for your reply. That will save me $54..
