Hi Sync,

First of all, welcome to MCF, we hope you enjoy your stay with us.

When comparing both Matrix and Waja. Here goes:

Matrix - Problem encountered by friends:

high F/C (Fuel consumption).

Manual Gear with auto accelerator.

Waja

higher F/C compared with Wira.

Question: Other than the price of the car, what else is more important? Power? look? maintenance?

My previous ride was a scooby (Impreza), and my current is a wira. Although in term of handling, sound of engine, Wira is no-where near my scooby. But the maintenance cost of Wira win Scooby by almost 200%!

Imagine, original oil filter cost only RM7. And if you want to change to crystal headlights? not problem, RM330 includes installation..

If you are keen in getting a Wira, best to go for 1.6M...

Last but not least, make sure you calculate everything properly before you commit to a car.. When I first change from riding to driving, my first car (old corolla) almost squeeze me dry... realise wallet gets thinner everyday..bigcry.gif

Fully agree with u. [thumbsup]

Do a proper calculation and whatever car u drive u will drive happily. [nod]

in singapore owning a car is never cheap.....even if you don't drive it that much

coe of $26K means each month you pay extra $220 even if you don't use the car......and with the interest cost thrown in, each month your non product cost of owning a car can be as high as $300.

I'm looking for a car that has ample seating space at the back, like the Corolla or Sunny. I'm not sure if the Wira will qualify, will have to take a look, as I've not seen the insides of a Wira before.

As a bike rider, I look for low maintenance, my first, second (stolen) and third bikes are RX-Z, which is the kind of dependability I'm looking for.

As for power, as long as I can speed up reasonably from a stop (traffic lights), that would be better, I don't want people going "Aiyoh, this guy, butt so heavy" when I have 4 - 5 people in the car.

I'm also a low budget guy, and expect the monthy installment of the car for a seven yr loan to be less than $850/m without downpayment (Insurance is ok). I won't go for 10 yr loan.

After looking around, the only new car I can buy is probably the Wira auto (not sure 1.5 or 1.6), else it's second hand everything, which I'm going to see a 2yr old Corolla during lunch time.

At more than 3000rpm and car still as quiet as river, then I think only

BMW or Merc. can match. [laugh]

Pay $x, we receive x quality

Pay $y, we received y quality. [thumbsup]
