like what Uncle 'super7' mention, your car manual will have a standard list to check during the routine schedule servcing nod.gifnod.gifnod.gif the list are there, whether the mech does it, that's totally another issue sweatdrop.gifsweatdrop.gifsweatdrop.gif best to hang around after the car being service & goes thru the list with the mech sly.gifsly.gifsly.gif

Yes, I also understand that often, mechanics have too many cars to check in one day, & they are human also & do make mistakes. Sometimes I wished I had more time to just hang around the workshop & see what they do. [:/]

Yeah, I am a she... A lot of people think I am a he. Now you understand why when I complain to the mechanic, he treat me like I don't know anything. They forgot 4 things I have - brains, the ability to read, mouth to consult friends & the forum to post threads.

Anyway, after being told about the idle valve & RAD helping me clear it, I am monitoring my car's health...hahahaha

i kinda understand (not agree) why the mechs do that to a she. the volvo agent told me that once, a lady customer had insisted they tow the car to their workshop because one of the rear brake lightbulb was blown. when they tried explaining that the car can be driven to the workshop and they will replace the bulb, the lady simply refused to listen and make helluva noise. unsure.gif

Yeah, but shouldn't stereotype mah. Then again, it's hard to change the ways of a society. I am not saying that everyone stereotypes but a majority. [shakehead]

And if the mechanic encounters a female who is not like the person you mentioned, maybe they could take some time & explain. [:/]

As for that lady, she probably knows nuts about cars. Sounds like the kind of person who will go to A&E for flu or common cold, the kind of people who will crowd up the A&E & delay genuine emergency case from getting immediate attention. But now with SARS, bird flu etc....

Yah, that's why I always try to go thru' the list of things that was supposted tobe done with the mech before I pay him sly.gifsly.gifsly.gif

Yeah, I did check out the Fiesta. Wanted to test drive it but the salesperson reluctant to let me drive. I checked the AAS website & found out a 2nd skoda costs S$56K. If I were to trade in the Skoda, will I have a chance of getting such a price? Just asking, doesn't mean I am going to change my car.
