Mojoe Neutral Newbie August 30, 2004 Share August 30, 2004 i go to CAS.. Comfort Automotive in Sin Ming... not sure whether their other outlets have or not, if they do then it's quite convenient coz they have outlets across the island.
Lukie102 Clutched August 30, 2004 Share August 30, 2004 alrighty...thks! i still have the quik detailer so will get it next time. quite interested in the soft99 though
Jagash Neutral Newbie August 30, 2004 Share August 30, 2004 another way is to wet the tissue paper, place in onto the poo and wait a while ... it will soften the poo and will be much more easier to deal with Have not tried this but when the poo has hardened then water alone may not be enough. It will leave behind the poo mark!
Leonknapp Clutched August 30, 2004 Author Share August 30, 2004 Hi Leonknapp, Personally I used a cheap Soft99 cleaner wax ($9.70), and it is rubbish. So people, pls skip this item. After one wk , no more water beading.Wax gone under our tropical environment. Hope u can keep us updated on the durability of the Fusso products u hv used. If it is beading water, that's means the sealant/wax is there. Appreciate yr after 3 wks, after 5 wks update (till 9 mths? 3 mths I am happy already). Hi bro, yu agree on the cheap cleaner wax. This was the first polish i ever used and thats why i had a bad impression of soft99. Only 2 years later then i discover the gems that they had at the top level. Anyway i have an update after 2 weeks which included several days of moderate to heavy rain. The car got quite dirty but after a wash the water still beaded nicely! other than Zaino no other wax I have used before would have survived up to now especially considering the heavy rain it experienced. I tried waxing a small protion of one panel to see of the wax had degraded but i found no significant visual differences. Also I notice that Authentic attracts much less dust than Zaino after a days drive. Zaino can be quite a dust magnet!! Recently a neighbour tried the same combo as me but it didnt turn out well. After much analysis I could only conclude that surface prep was the culprit. He didnt use the 3M polish but applied the sealant straight then the wax. The fusso and Authentic do not contain any polish and are pure coatings and this was evident that he was sealing in all the swirls and oxidation. So I have to emphasize the importance of a surface prep using a polish like 3M before sealing the paintwork.
Str2 Neutral Newbie September 1, 2004 Share September 1, 2004 Hi Leonknapp, I bought the 3M SMR fm DIY at IMM $21.00 (hard to find and tired of finding which shops sells cheaper ,anyway petrol exp too). Anywhere on web to find out more info on Softt99/Fusso products? Where to buy other than Autobaccs, hopefully cheaper?
Nivlac Neutral Newbie September 1, 2004 Share September 1, 2004 So does the prep includes claybaring? or jus the 3M polish? Last time i washed, claybar, AIO 2 layers, SG 2layers.... but still didnt last more than 3wks. *sigh*.... will the 3M polish aid?
Leonknapp Clutched September 1, 2004 Author Share September 1, 2004 www.soft99.co.jp The english site has limited products but the japanese version has the full range. I suspect the prices are all similar but the difference comes from discount schemes. I think AA members get 5% off at Autoacc and Autobacs while member of Stamford can get 10% off at Stamford outlets but Stamfords range is quite limited. Cheers! Leonknapp Clutched September 1, 2004 Author Share September 1, 2004 Wow so much work and it lasted only 3 weeks? strange.. my prep didnt include clay as i had done it 2 weeks before i applied on the 3M. AIO one coat enuf 2 coats wont yield significant improvement. Did u do ur 2 layers of SG in one day? u should do coatings with 24 hour intervals to ensure durability if not u are just mixing the old and new SG. The 3M might help but actually i feel AIO is just as good if not better as a polish. 3M is a better swirl remover though. Cheers!
Str2 Neutral Newbie September 2, 2004 Share September 2, 2004 The water beading stopped only after 3 wks? I was really hoping Soft99 to keep on rocking.
Nivlac Neutral Newbie September 2, 2004 Share September 2, 2004 Ya i spent 8-9hrs doing the whole sunday ... tiring process. So actually AIO is similar to the 3M polish. icic... i put 2 layers of AIO cos it makes the car smooth.. keke. SG doesnt seem to make the car smooth. But if i do it in 24hrs intervals wouldnt i hv to wash the car again the next day due to the dust accumulation? How can i in-corporate HG88 into my AIO + SG package? Think i need to Clay my car again soon...*sigh* more elbow greese...
Leonknapp Clutched September 2, 2004 Author Share September 2, 2004 The cheap stuff from soft99 dont rock.. they suck actually..
Leonknapp Clutched September 2, 2004 Author Share September 2, 2004 if the car is too dirty then u have to just do a quick wash if the surface has only light dust just wipe with a quick detailer like Eagle Wipe and Shine or Meguiars Quick detail and a microfiber cloth. HG88 is a substitute for AIO so u can choose which to use. finally i doubt u need to clay again. just use the AIO and it will remove the SG and most contaminants. but if u never clayed previously then it better to clay. Cheers!
Steelblue Neutral Newbie September 2, 2004 Share September 2, 2004 No need to wash the car if not too dirty. You can mix an ounce or two of AIO in a sprayer and use it as QD Here's the link http://www.customacrylic.com/klasse.html
Nivlac Neutral Newbie September 2, 2004 Share September 2, 2004 icic so meaning its actually a waste to put so many layers of AIO and SG at one time? Normally i do 2 AIO + 2 SG... ↡ Advertisement
