Sunrise Neutral Newbie September 10, 2004 Share September 10, 2004 Hi everyone, I'm a newbie in detailing and was inspired by this thread to purchase the two soft99 products, fusso and authentic wax. Will be trying them out tomorrow I also bought a soft99 authentic surface cleaner. It came with two packets of soft substance which i believed is claybar. I need enlightenment on the purpose of the "claybar" (if I'm right) and how to use it. Thanks in advance and cheers!

Toledo 1st Gear September 15, 2004 Share September 15, 2004 i've tried the 7 mths keep sealant. 5 mths liao & it still works. after reading this thread i'm tempted to try the premium wax. i'd like to ask this : shld i apply the wax first, then apply the sealant to seal in the shine ? btw i've tried glare & amazing glaze before.... think no pt spending that kind of $$ with so-so results... the $26 sealant can last me more than 1 application. Leonknapp Clutched September 15, 2004 Author Share September 15, 2004 The 7 months one can last for 5 months? wow thats quite fantastic! honestly i only expect 1 to 2 months of protection max! But Ive never used the 7 months only the 9 months. The difference the 2 being the 7 one has cleaning power and needs buffing as it will haze but the 9 one is a pure sealant that dries clear. Anyway the Carnuba wax is always the last step. Sealants bond best to paint and cant bond to wax. Cheers!

Ahliew Neutral Newbie September 17, 2004 Share September 17, 2004 btw what is the tool that came with the carnauba wax for? the opener i know. but what about the brush and pick?
Leonknapp Clutched September 17, 2004 Author Share September 17, 2004 (edited) Honestly I dont know!!! other than the opener i have not used the other two sides! but i suspect the pick could be for getting the wax that dries along the edges or lines like the gaps in the door handles. Toledo 1st Gear September 19, 2004 Share September 19, 2004 Thks Leonkapp for the advice. i can't read jap so when i applied the 7 mth keep i left it to dry. abit hard to buff off if it dries too long.... the next time i apply again i will try to buff off within 30 sec or so.... anyway the 7th mth keep is very liquid.. like diluted dish washer liquid.. & a little will do. so very economical. cheers! ps: i went to autobacs on thur. the top 3 authenic waxes all sold out. Genie47 1st Gear September 19, 2004 Share September 19, 2004 Most likely due to his report . The last time the Triple R oil was talked about here, the stocks disappeared fast. There are many lurkers here .
Peterkoh Neutral Newbie October 1, 2004 Share October 1, 2004 Stamford Tyres is having a 20% sales. Got the Soft99 fusso 9 month and soft99 claybar for $30. Not all Stamford outlets have the products though. got mine at the Changi branch.
Husky Clutched October 14, 2004 Share October 14, 2004 Went to stamford tyres at Changi but Soft99 fusso 9 month is sold out for black cars!! So i went to AutoAcc (the old Autobacs but cheaper) to buy it. Also bought the Hi-Power Shampoo for black cars (never knew that there is one specifically for black cars) to remove the wax and any dirt before applying fusso 9. After that, what kind of shampoo should i use?? or use plain water? ↡ Advertisement
