Need help here! I applied the Kiss R today after the wash. Applied the horizontal than vertical method, and wipe it off with a 3M microfiber cloth after a minute or so. It turned out to be very difficult to wipe away. So end up the car became patchy all over. I was wondering if I've done something wrong? So I need to find out more.

 

1. How much should I apply?

2. Now after I applied, anyway to remove the excess? Cause it look very patchy now,

3. After applying how long should I wipe away?

4. Do I apply every paint part of the car or just the parts with problems (such as

swirls)?

 

Your help is very much appreciated cause I'm in the state of panic now!

Dont worry, ok 2 things u can try. One is to not wait one minute. Wipe on then wipe off immediately! also the 3M cloth is too small and ineffective, get the nice big microfiber detailing cloth from Fibershine which can be found at stamford tyres. if all fails just use a normal wax that you probably already have like autoglym and polish the car. all patches should be gone. I suspect that you will have to try ur old polish first cos the old kizz clear is already cured.

I was actually quite impatient so the next day, I washed my car again, dry it and tried some force using my 3M cloth to wipe away but only maybe 10% effective and very fine hair line scratches appeared, I was so tired and frustrated and probably because of this, I actually when on without thinking the consequences. Finally gave up and applied the Fusso 9 months. The sealant was very easy to apply like you mentioned and the car really stands out. However, the patches are still visible when you see it at a close distance due to the Kiss R left over. I was planning to wax the car this evening using the Soff99 Authentic Gold Wax. Will this do? I have the feeling that the patches will still be visible even after that, most probably until everything wears out and a new term of application starts. Like to find out how's the 3M Swirl remover doing? Easy to apply? Does swirls means fine hair line scratches? Thanks!

swirl marks = v mild scratches usually cause during washing cars due to dirty cloth. usually not visible.

 

happen to see a new product by softrock99 box looks like fusso. main purpose to remove swirl marks. free 2 sponge. cost ard $19. differnt colours differnt boxes. instruction in jap. seen at autobacc

Actually I expected that the patches wont go away. Had that experience before with some lousy polish. The only way to remove the patches is to remove the kizz by washing with dishwashing solution. then start all over. Perhaps before trying that you can try the claybar. if it removes the patches then no need to resort to dishwashing solution.

 

Why not try applying some Gold Wax over the patches? if the patches are removed then all your problems are solved!

 

Personally if I have any paint problems I will use the 3M Swirl remover. It really cleans and polishes the paint. Due to limitations of applying by hand is that I can only remove about 70% of the swirls. Then followed by a quick coat of Gold wax. I have stopped using the fusso 9 cos I realized that I wax so regularly that I dont need the protection of 9 months.

no... same price.. for Soft99 stuff I think Autobacs is the cheapest. Using the Soft99 Authentic Gold wax a comparison. At AutoAcc the price is $33 but at AutoBacs the price is $28.50.

 

Also, is it me or is there suddenly a flood of other Japanese brand Car waxes being sold suddenly? somemore the cars are the same as the ones shown on the authentic series!

How much is the Soft99 Premium wax? Any significant difference from the Soft 99 Gold ?

Premium is 30+ if I remember correctly, not that big a jump from Gold. But the Excellent is 60+

what about look wise? I'm a bit suspicious with soft 99' marketing strategy, like their hard paste got for light car, dark car etc...for all we know they are the same, just different wax colour nia

also hv u ever tried to layer just the 9 mths without any wax? is the sealant shiny? i dont suppose it will give the deep shine of carnuba waxes...

I only tried the Premium so can't comment on the Excellent. But at 60+, it's a tad expensive.

Anyone know if the Soft99 Fusso can be applied on door moulding and the black vinyl commonly used on the upper half of doors? Thanks.
