Soft99 Products Rock!

Waxing in the sun 'is' a factor, usually it's not recommended to wax on a hot surface (with an exception to one of the wax that I have)

I don't have Authentic but I do have Soft99 Hard Paste, I wait 5-10 mins before buffing off, it's very easy to buff off, one pass usually.

Have a look at the bottom of the Authentic wax, can you see something like 5-10mins in the instructions? (I know it's in japanese but look if there's something like '5~10')

yep apply, wait for something like 5-10mins, then buff off.

btw what do you use to buff off wax?

Inspect the paint (bonnet eg) before applying wax and after buffing, see if any new scratches from the towel/mfs etc

I suggest u try one minute first. For me I will apply the wax to one panel and then wipe of immediately. results have been excellent for my black car. I bet the sun caused ur streaking. wax in the shade its much better. also another possible factor is that u apply too much wax. for me I only rub the applicator on the wax twice then apply on the car.

Its hard to explain why ur car streaks. Ok what u can try is to use a damp cloth and wipe the bonnet. the streaks should reduce or disappear. Sometimes the streaks will gradually disappear over time. Also u apply ur wax in straight lines or circular motion? if circular try using straight lines. also try using another cloth to remove the residue. what colour is ur car? Mine is black and i dont have this problem unless i apply too much wax. why not take some pics so we can see the problem?

dont lose heart. despite the oily streaks im sure ur car still looks excellent. This Authentic has turned me away from zaino and klasse SG and it really takes a good wax to make me switch.

1.Did you use too much?

2. Did you let it dry enuf? Too much wax = much longer drying time

If not dry you buff= streak

3. What did you use to buff? (sorry I might have asked this before)

basically i apply usin meguiars applicator and wipe off using a white meguairs cloth.

so next time i intend to apply a bit then wipe off...

the thing is now, i wanna re-wax my bonnet again, would after a normal wash and a new layer of wax cover the streaks?

Don't wipe it off immediately, leave it for 10mins while you vacuum the interior/dress the leather seats etc.

I suspect if you wax over the streak, you'll remove it the next time you buff it :).

Don't be disheartened, some products do need some trial and error experimentation hor [;)][nod] , report back k

Btw did you wax in the evening?? It will take longer to dry in the evening also [sweatdrop]

I've only Soft99 hard paste for metallic. Very easy to apply and buff off without dusting. I'll rate the ease of use 0.5 points below S100 [:p]

I like trying new stuff, too many in my arsenal..S100, Meg DC3, Zaino, Adam's, Meg 16 etc etc [sweatdrop][sweatdrop]

ps: Make sure you apply thin thin , treat the wax like liquid gold [nod]

Neutral Newbie

application for soft 99 wise, I use the blue stiffer side of the sponge provided, put a few drops on it, rub on a portion of the car, there's actually very little delay, once I finish half a panel I'll start buffing it with a polish cloth lightly, its pretty fast and doesn't take much effort. Don't make the mistake of leaving it too long, it will be really hard to remove!

Carnauba wax wise, I really do suspect that waxing the car when the bonnet is hot ( either from the engine-especially.. or under the sun) causes the streaks, cause it was a rush job of waxing over the weekend this round, only the bonnet is streaky, the roof and bootlid was nice and clear. [thumbsup]

Just keep putting water on and wiping it with a damp cloth, guess it doesn't become so obvious, good luck! [;)]

water n wax/oil don't mix so personally I won't do that [lipsrsealed]

I hope you are waxing a clean car, it not...swirls n scratches.

Btw I was advised to wax the car in the direction of wind approaching the car i.e. front to back . forgot what was the logic again [lipsrsealed]
