Hi Steel,

where u get ur stuff like Meg #16 and S100? I have been looking for them locally but to no avail.

Please advise on places in singapore that stock a wide range of waxes. Autobacs seem to focus only on jap stuff.

Cheers!

I got mine from the States, Meg #16 is definitely good stuff, I just made another order for it yesterday since got 20% discount.

Btw S100 you can get in in Sg I think, go to Harley Davidson shop.

hmm...not sure...if my reasoning applies to your situation in that case... I found it unusual this round as well cause I rarely get streaks...2 other things come to mind...either my claybaring was uneven, hence rubbing off certain portions of the sealant, after which wax was applied, or uneven waxing in the first place.

When I realised the streaks, I threw a bucket of water on the car bonnet, used a damp cloth to wipe the water away and after that buff a bit, found that the streaks weren't so bad after all. but occasionally it does come back streaky, but its most noticable under direct sunlight..

Hope it helps Popok, its damn xian to see streaks on the car, especially after all that hard work...but maybe the best would be to leave it for a couple of weeks till the wax wears off, then try to do a good job again? [:)]

just sharing with all members wink.gif

streaks are indeed caused by applying too much wax or applying wax on hot surface. so unless stated otherwise, always let the car (especially bonnet) cool down first before you start your polishing/waxing.

to apply a thin layer of wax

for some wax, try applying using a damp applicator. a damp applicator is easier to work with and hence you are better able to coat a thin even layer of wax over a larger area. water and wax doesnt mix, so no need to worry about the water having an effect on the effectiveness of wax.

then buff off using a thick puffy dry microfiber cloth.

another simply rule to follow: rather apply little and do more times (layering), then apply once with a thick layer thumbsup.gif

I see. So how much does the #16 cost when freight is included? If too ex most prob i will stick to authentic premium or maybe even try the excellent which cost $60+ but still cheaper than PS21. Also which harley shop sells the S100? didnt see it in the Taka one.

Thanks!

I'm not in SG btw, the shipping is a killer but since you are in SG, you can use Vpost with the particular vendor, he allows that. I got my S100 from the States as well but msg KO78 for where to get S100, he told me last time but I forgot where exactly liao. [blush]

Dear sir,

Pleae find following instructions.

2. Fusso Coat 9 months

Wash entire car and remove all water residue. Shake well bottle and take liquid onto an attached micro fiber towel. Apply as evenly as possible.

Give final wipes in case trial marks remain on paint surface.

Sorry, just to bring up this subject again.... [:)]

I bought soft99 12 months and applied to my ride. Pretty good effect....very pleased with it. In fact, so far, I find less dusty! [;)]

I washed the car this afternoon again as saw the water beading! [:)] I then used aurthentic wax to polish it.....

both products pretty good! I strongly recommend! [thumbsup]

But take note, don't use the 12 months with water....my buddy did it and there were streaks! Really tough to buff off! My arm ached the next day! [bigcry]

wah surprised to see my thread bumped up again! anyway Im now using fusso 12 months too! hehehe itchy finger could not resist to try. anyway im quite impressed by the durability of it, wont last 12 months but at least 2-3 months based on weekly washings. Anyway 12 months has no cleaners so its a pure sealant. so if u need any polishing etc u must do it first then followed by 12 months. Also, its debatable but i realise that Authentic Premium contains cleaners. so this means that it might remove the 12 months. no one to confirm my guess though.. [:/]

But yes both are excellent products!

Well i looked carefully at the catalogue in Concorde and for sealants and waxes they actually state if they contained cleaners/no cleaners and abrasives. For Fusso 12 months and 9 months they state that they did not contain cleaners. For Authentic all they stated was that it did not contain Abrasives but no mention of no cleaners. So my guess is that Authentic does contain some chemical cleaners. Maybe thats why I was able to get excellent results even without any paint prep using authentic.
