Steelblue Neutral Newbie January 20, 2005 Share January 20, 2005 Fusso 12mths is supposed to be put on a clean surface , if put on a wax it may look good (or not) but one thing is for sure, the durability will be compromised.

Steelblue Neutral Newbie January 20, 2005 Share January 20, 2005 Don't think mama lemon will remove the existing sealant...(not sure bout wax) Maybe can try some chemical cleaner like AIO or something from Meguiar
Ebos Neutral Newbie January 21, 2005 Share January 21, 2005 Yes, washing detergent will remove the wax and sealant.. Has tried before reapplying new coats...
Vienta Neutral Newbie January 21, 2005 Share January 21, 2005 (edited) ok....will try it! SO using normal car detergent will not get rid of the wax right? Edited January 21, 2005 by Vienta
Steelblue Neutral Newbie January 21, 2005 Share January 21, 2005 Branded car shampoo is usually ph7 (neutral) and should not strip the existing wax . As for dish washing liquid, "I personally" do not recommend due to it being alkaline, hence not friendly to rubber and plastic components. To each his own I would say

Wah....wipe it arm almost came off! So please wait till your car body is cool then apply the 12 months....and from the look of things, most of Soft products require a cool body. Leonknapp Clutched January 27, 2005 Author Share January 27, 2005 Not just soft99. in fact all waxes require a cool body for proper application and removal. The only polymer sealant i know that can be applied in the sun is Mothers Reflections and to some extent zaino.
Panda Neutral Newbie January 27, 2005 Share January 27, 2005 Dude, just on the Soft99 Authentic wax alone, without sealant or other special care, how long you'd think the beading will last? I've been kinda lazy. 5 weeks since the last wax? Can't feel the wax anymore, but hey, its still beading.

The only polymer sealant i know that can be applied in the sun is Mothers Reflections and to some extent zaino. But even after you wash the car, the temperature is not cool enough? Wah, black car under the hot sun......I think can only wash when my car is parked in the multistory for 1/2 day....
Leonknapp Clutched January 27, 2005 Author Share January 27, 2005 actually my cars black too and after a wash the surface is already cool. But I do raise the bonnet after drying the car to air the engine and allow the bonnet to cool.
Leonknapp Clutched January 27, 2005 Author Share January 27, 2005 If u satisfied with the paint condition go ahead and add another coat of wax! With all waxes the smoothness disappears after the first wash but it is still protecting. Cheers! ↡ Advertisement
