Cool_jazz Neutral Newbie September 5, 2004 Share September 5, 2004 Yes, Fusso is the easiest "apply & forget" sealant that I ever come across. All thanks to your tips . Others have to buff off . Use it as a quick detailer? I doubt so. Better to go and buy the actual QD available at DIY, Autobacs, Autoaccs or Stamford. ↡ Advertisement
Leonknapp Clutched September 5, 2004 Author Share September 5, 2004 Hi Cooljazz, no lah i didnt mean use it as a QD rather use it like a QD meaning i can spray on the fusso and wipe with the cloth. sound more economical. Actually one gripe i have with the Fusso 9 months is that I dont really know if i have covered all the areas. sometimes even if i have gone over once i wonder if i should go over again just in case i missed a spot. kinda wasteful i think.. Etnt Turbocharged September 6, 2004 Share September 6, 2004 Backside itchy went to buy the Authentic Premium from Stamford and applied it over Glare. The application was easy, though the small sponge is quite hard to grip. The resulting shine is good, giving it a wetter look than the sterile shine from Glare; it was much better than previously when I applied the Autoglym's Instant Show Shine over Glare as a QD. Shoi Neutral Newbie September 6, 2004 Share September 6, 2004 Hi BRO, How much did u buy Authentic Premium from Stamford?
Etnt Turbocharged September 6, 2004 Share September 6, 2004 S$33 before whatever discount you can get at Stamford.
Shoi Neutral Newbie September 6, 2004 Share September 6, 2004 will it easy to apply and easy wipe off.
Leonknapp Clutched September 6, 2004 Author Share September 6, 2004 Hi ETNT, Yah the supplied applicator sucks. Use the Meguiars Yellow foam one. Its much better and easier to use. anyway which stamford outlet did u get Authetic from? the one i went to in Changi did not have it. wow if i bought from stamford I can get 10% off but I bought from AutoAcc and only got 5% off for being AA member. Etnt Turbocharged September 6, 2004 Share September 6, 2004 I got it from Lok Yang (tuas), but got the last pc. They have quite some iridium, titanium and silver. No gold or excellent. Think it's more for testing market.
Etnt Turbocharged September 6, 2004 Share September 6, 2004 Except for the crappy applicator, it is easy on, easy off. I test test let it dry for about 5min it still can be buff off quite easily.
Autocraze Neutral Newbie September 6, 2004 Share September 6, 2004 The application was easy, though the small sponge is quite hard to grip. I use the sponge for my tyre shine.. just the right size...
Panda Neutral Newbie September 6, 2004 Share September 6, 2004 Hi I'll like to ask you for the Fusso series, I understand white is for white, but the difference between pearl & metallic and dark colours? I have a problem deciding which a basic red-mica colour is considered pearl & metallic or dark? Anyway glad someone is here to say something nice about soft99... I've been scolded for so long using Soft99 products and stuff... and btw, I think the cleaner wax is really good. It depends how u use it. Its something you use as a quick wax above a basic sealant on a bi-weekly basis. It removes all sorts of stains easily. Especially good if you're not looking for expensive / extensive waxing. Leonknapp Clutched September 6, 2004 Author Share September 6, 2004 Hi Ice, The colour thingy has always intrigued me. Personally I have used the fusso for dark colours on silver cars and it was perfectly fine. For urs I suspect the one to go for is the Metallic one. Actually if u see the side of the box for the fusso 9 month it does explicitly state the suitable colours for each type. But no matter what I think u wont go wrong lah! Cheers! Shoi Neutral Newbie September 6, 2004 Share September 6, 2004 Hi Leonknapp , Can i noe which step u use 1st. Soft99 Fusso Coat 9 Months Protection or Soft99 Authentic Premium Wax. U apply coat9 1st den premium wax issit?
Leonknapp Clutched September 6, 2004 Author Share September 6, 2004 Hi Shoi, I used the fusso 9 sealant first then applied the Authentic over it. However I was told that the fusso needs time to bond and by applying the Authentic immediately i removed the fusso. So to be safe I suggest applyting the Fusso, let it cure for a day then apply the Authentic the next day.
Shoi Neutral Newbie September 6, 2004 Share September 6, 2004 If i just apply the Authentic wax without fusso9 . How long does it last for the shine? Can u just estimate.
Leonknapp Clutched September 6, 2004 Author Share September 6, 2004 about a month. Frankly authentic is a show car kinda wax. If u looking for something more durable go for the Fusso 12 months. It will last longer for sure but how long exactly i cant tell. honestly most pple will be satisfied with fusso liao!
Steelblue Neutral Newbie September 7, 2004 Share September 7, 2004 Hi I'll like to ask you for the Fusso series, I understand white is for white, but the difference between pearl & metallic and dark colours? Red mica would be under metallic I guess. As for using the cleaner wax with the sealant..not a very good idea, long time ago I used to remove tough diesel stain on my white car with it. I'm pretty sure your sealant is gone if you use the cleaner wax along with any sealant. Furthermore if you put another coat of sealant on top , it wont bond properly anymore due to the presence of the wax, hence inconsistency in the durability
Panda Neutral Newbie September 7, 2004 Share September 7, 2004 Oh dear! Looks like I've been doing it wrong all this while... and I've never noticed anything amiss... But then again, that's when the car was metallic in colour. Okay. No more nonsense cleaner wax on sealants anymore for me! ↡ Advertisement
