DuraiTT Neutral Newbie July 13, 2008 Share July 13, 2008 Are these bulbs sold as a pair? When shop owners quote the price, usually is it for a pair or just a single bulb. I am new to this so pardon me on a side note, anyone knows which is the whitest approved lightbulb? I drive a swift, think is H4 size.

Valjean Neutral Newbie August 1, 2008 Share August 1, 2008 Does anyone know if the Extreme Power or Diamond Vision is whiter? DV has a colour temp of 5000k but this is not stated for EP.
Tohto Hypersonic August 1, 2008 Share August 1, 2008 Extreme power is yellow bulb. But it is much brighter than diamond Vision especially during raining night. I change from diamond vision to extreme power due to poor visibity. But DV look nice.
Wrc206 Neutral Newbie August 1, 2008 Share August 1, 2008 Just saw the bulbs at Stamford today. Confirm DV is whiter but EP much more brighter.
Valjean Neutral Newbie August 1, 2008 Share August 1, 2008 Thks, Tohto and Wrc206 for the quick replies! I used DV previously and yeah, the light cast is very poor indeed, but very pretty. I went to Stamford Changi recently but they didn't have a sample of the Extreme Power model. Also no stock of the Crystal Vision Ultra highlighted in another thread. The DV was also going at about $95. Quite expensive!

Both shld be LTA-friendly right Also, where to purchase and ask which shop to install cheapest? or even DIY?? to satisfy both ur requirements theres only 1 ans, HID in halogen technolgy, ur 2 requirements are actually opposing ends because , longer throw= yellow-er bulbs and vice versa if u want white go for DV, if u want throw go for X power, u want both go for HID. please dun buy bulbs tat exceed 55w, have seen cases too high wattage melt the socket or headlight housingg

DV is not xpower i m not sure, but its yellowish so no one will kick up a fuss with u la, its looks like stock bulbs 2) Where to get the price friendly bulbs? phillips jus had a sale 2 weeks ago, can wait for the next one but jus pay those shops a visit. i know mustafa have bery limited range, there are bigger players like mcwell or autobacs 3) Is it easy to change myself? My ride is a vios its easy to change, you need to know how but since i bought from shop jus ask them to change for me, cos u cant touch the glass of the bulb, so better leave to the pros. Tubecreamer Neutral Newbie June 25, 2009 Share June 25, 2009 (edited) hi all some input for those bros that were like me, still deciding. I was choosing between Philips DV and Osram Nightbreaker. In the end, I chose DV. A bit hiao la, haha.. For those that want almost pure white light, go for DV. The throw is less than stock (it is definitely not like those you see on the roads where some of the cars have. If it's so bright, most likely they using HID.) If you want better throw than stock (about 20-40% better imho), then go for nightbreaker. It is 10% less yellow than stock but brighter (not much whiter). Hope it helps Edited June 25, 2009 by Tubecreamer
Frog 1st Gear July 5, 2009 Share July 5, 2009 DV also illegal, HID also illegal. that is why i go for HID
