Voltage Stabilizer

Nor eactly correct. At high electrical loading transcient, this capacitor can be depleted of charges and becomes another nett load fighting for the extra current from the alternator and battery.

When this happen depends on the frequency (rpm), particular car's surge loading profile, capacitance and capacitor's charging/discharging circuit impedance. That's why no one voltage stabiliser can suit all cars at all performance profiles.

Hi,

I just had one installed in my ride. If I am not wrong, there are capacitors which is normally charged up when your engine is running. When electrical components suddenly draws power, these capacitors will discharge to compensate for the sudden demand. By doing so, the fluctuation of power supply will be less thus making the electrical system of your car more stable. Check out the link below.

So shd we be getting the biggest capacity capacitors that we can get our hands on to make sure it's never depleted of charges?

The Apex'i one is not cheap. There is a imitation of it in the market.

I know of someone in JB who took the Apex'i one apart and copied the internals exactly, but with a shiny metal box look externally. Selling < RM300.

Unfortunately, there is no ideal DC compensator for all load profiles.

Bigger capacitor does help in steadier load like ICE. But cyclical loading eg high power ignition might require a smaller capacitor with rapid charging.

Bought a copy of HOT STUFF today. Blur after seeing so many voltage stab & fuel magnet ads.

I am now gathering info for my new ride next month, appreciate any experience and feedback you have on the product. Kum Siah! [;)]

RMK Voltage Stab $188 w/ 4 pt grounding cable & 4 pair Magnefuel

Inazuma Voltage Stab $99 w/ grounding wire & installation

Pivot Sound Voltage Stab $105

E-Power Voltage Stab $188 retail

Z-Stab Voltage Stab $ ???

So any more feedback on the above stablisers? I think there is another one called XCS. Anybody share more lobangs or feedbacks? [nod] How is z-stab and Inazuma?

Hi Hattee,

are you involved in the electronics or automotive industry?

Based on what you mentioned about capacitors, so it's true that the diff between big and small caps are that, big ones hold more charge than small ones for a given surface area on the circuit board, but small caps discharge faster than big ones?

me just a novice. Seems ideal capacitor can supplement infinite charges to prevent voltage drops and charged up itself instantly. Can we find one like this?

Hey Titanium,

no obscene subjects, please!! [sweatdrop][laugh][sweatdrop][laugh]

Hmm... ICE-cream... someone creams while having some entertainment inside the car?? [lipsrsealed][laugh][laugh][laugh]

Hattee,

I donno much about electronics, but I guess there's no perfect caps. So most voltage stabilisers improvise by having a combo of both big and small caps for bigger capacity and high discharging speed...?

Hey, since those ICE capacitors are so big (like 1 Farad or more), does this mean they're slow in response?

hi..just when to the shop in bukit batok and was quote $210 for the razin voltage stab/w grounding [mad] though was $110.as for the $110 package is the (max volt)w/grounding.
