its a protruding steel belt at the inner radius closest to the rim...function is to protect the rims when we accidentally scrub the tyres against low kerb... [nod]

Already scrubbed-in for 10days and >1000km liao...still as good !

No regret. But I wonder how G3 fare as compared to Preceda...

do u feel drifty when running at spd of 110-120 during ur first 1000km?

was driving consciously at 80-90km for the first 500km....last week (alrd 700+ km on preceda) while driving along PIE, the stretch from thomson to kallang, with series of gentle left and rite bends and up/down slope....i feel the car floating and drifing gently at spd of 110-120km.... [sweatdrop] never felt this with ST115 and it not so talkative compared to ST115.....can it be that the tyres not seasoned enuf? but it really give a quieter and comfort ride.. [thumbsup]

Nope, no drifty feeling. Could it be the tire pressure. This tire has rather soft sidewall. May need to adjust the tire pressure.

And, don't speed for safety sake ! [;)]
