Very possible they mark u already. Better use those smaller w/s for better value for $$$.

To check your brake pads (disc type), remove wheel & u can see the thickness of the pad. Remember to check both sides of the pads on the same wheel. Sometimes one side wears faster than the other.

If u toking about the spark plug cables, normally have to change after about 5-8 years or if it was mishandled. Don't waste $$$ on those "special type" as the original one has the correct resistance needed for your car.

Don't think Stamford gives free service. So far my experience with them for alignment has been good. Talk to the mechanic, tell him you're in-tune member. There is some discount. Talk to him more, and he'll charge you the price for 2 wheel alignment even tho' he did 4 wheels! smile.gif

gugubird la........ ultra dulan now..... but.... at least steering okok. can drive liao.... wonder if i got back stamford, with they charge me money again?

He want u to come back so they got chance to do more evil things to your car. [sly][sly][sly]

Better stand beside your car all the time & watch them very carefully.

Remember it only takes 5 seconds to put some salt inside your petrol tank. [jawdrop]

nope.... if u rotate tyres and do alignment, they only align 2 front tyres not the back ones.

so can charge u for 2 tyres only. btw, if u buy fr autobaccs / cas, its free rotation and depends mebbe free patching as well (but heck, how many pple really go back to get patched)

after talking to harun at cas, they take 2 hours to change tyres, take out old, wash up rim properly then install, pump nitrogen... sounds beri pro.

Gone back to Upper Thomson for the 150k km servicing. They managed to service the car within half a day, and called to inform me. After arriving at the satellite centre, I was incidentally served by the mechanic who previously gave me crap by saying they had to wait 2hr for the engine to cool before they can work on it. He handed me a bill of 200-something. I told him I have a free lub package, given by their service manager. He became protective and asked me for the manager's name, etc. The exec beside him heard our conversation, and check the computer. There WAS a comment to say that I'm entitled to the free package, so I need not pay a cent.

Collected the key and proceeded to check my car. I saw some oil droplets at the left fender. Decided not to kick a big fuss, and took a tissue to clean it off. To my horror, what I thought was engine oil is some corrosive liquid, and off came my paint when I wiped, revealing the white base coat. I went back to the office, but did not jump to accusations. I asked if the mechanic topped up any fluid. The exec said they topped up the battery water. I told him about my discovery and he witnessed the condition of my car on the spot. He promised that C&C will re-spary the fender as compensation.

After the Sepang trip, I sent in my car for re-spary on Thurs. Apparently C&C does not re-spray Kia cars, but send them to a contracted workshop. Fine. After going public for 2 days, I collected the car on Fri evening. The fender was nicely touch-ed up, and the color matching was ok. However I noticed that the color was slightly metalic, instead of solid. The paint actually contained some silver specs, which can be seen if watched closely. Initially I thought it was just some dirt, that the car picked up, as it rained on Fri afternoon.

Now I really don't know what to do. Be furious or be sad? Complain again, and go for another re-spray?

Wait the mechanic scold you ah...."Don't spray for you, you complain. Spray a better paint for you, you also complain!"

[laugh][laugh][laugh][laugh]

I think it's best to go back to the contracted workshop and check with them. You might want to explain nicely to them that you'll be selling the car soon and the potential buyers may see the metallic painted fender being resprayed and suspect a previous accident.

Since C&C pays the contracted workshop, I don't think I need to deal with the contracted workshop. Furthermore I don't even know who they contracted to!

I donno, whether to make noise with them again. Very tiring you know... thumbsdown.gif
