Square_guy Neutral Newbie May 7, 2003 Share May 7, 2003 hmmm, having tried the HG after using zaino and 1 similar product, i have to honestly say tat HG loss out in performance. i probably applied around 6~10 coatings of HG on my silver lancer between 3 washes. gloss is normal (hard to judge since it is silver). smoothness is fairly good. but durability is a real let down. it'll be gone within 1 week, and it doesn't repel dirt well at all. and i seriously think it either dissolve in the rain or melt under the hot sun as i can see residue on the paint. i also applied 2 layers of HG on a turquoise galant (5 yrs old car). this time the gloss is very disappointing. i can't really tell the difference b4 and after. on both cars, the paint was prepared by washing with detergent and claybar comparing it to a product similar to zaino (polymer-based, need curing time blah blah blah), sorry guys i really can't say i would recommend it at all 2 coatings will beat the 6~10 coatings of HG hands down in terms of durability, dust repellent, shine and smoothness. but of course the price is a big issue Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
