The S40 Volve is based on the same platform that build this new Ford Focus.

That is the resemblence.

 

Also, one of the Jaguar series also uses this same platform.

On thing I'm still sore about is the range of engine types they are bringing in.

 

Ghia version is quite different from Trend version. Belief me, Trend is much more attractive. (Note the details) I would not want to let you know the diff now, but go for the launch and find out... hehe

 

I do understand other variants will be brought in too later part of the year. But not sure what is the specs yet.

Actually the Jag X-Type is based on the Mondeo, not Focus. Jaguar doesn't have a Focus-sized car... yet.

For info to those interested in viewing the new Focus, the new cars will only be available either in RM at Ubi or Leng Kee. Foward Motor will not be bringing in the new Focus to their showroom.

i believe this coming weekend launch will only be in Ubi. Subsequently should be available in it's leng kee showroom as well.

 

west to ubi(north-east) is rather far... wait another week then if u no hurry

i may go because i'm also staying in north-east, so quite near... anyway just go there kay-poh only, wouldn't be changing my current focus for at least some yrs to come

yup, joined the focus club weeks before i got my focus(though i'm not a verified-member yet as i've yet to go to one of their gtg)... very informative site...

in fact, the postings in both the MCF & FocusClub sites did contribute to my decision on getting the focus eventually.

just saw the new Focus on the road while on my way to lunch! I would say a strong resemblance to Mondeo (especially at the back) + a bit of volvoish look on it!

u saw wrongly see boh. if front look like mondeo, back oso look like mondeo. its a mondeo lah.
