Most PIs give 3 years warranty or 60,000km (not 100,000km).

Any defective parts may be covered by warranty, but it may take weeks to arrive. Just like guaranteed COE, confirm delivery etc. "When" is always ???

On the other hand, Authorize Dealer (AD) normally keeps recommended spares n tat is part of the agreement with their principal.

Whenever PIs or ADs offer free servicing, the workshop has already factored the labour cost into Engine Oil, Oil Filter etc....... No free lunch [shakehead] . Check prices around n u would know. Do u think the PIs pay for this (maybe for the 1st servicing)? PIs' 3rd party workshops are also hungry in attracting customers.

Dun place too much hope or expect too much from PIs' warranty and free servicing.

Choosing a car that u love is more important.

Cheers!

Meaning that the free servicing would cost as much as me going to any workshop outside?

Or their rates as ex as those such as BM?

hummzzz if that is the case must i go to the specified PI workshops to ensure that my warrenty is not voided?

Sorry for asking so much haha [:p]

First time car owner here trying to find out more abt PI cars.

FYI, I am also a first timer in buying car from PI. At least I dare to try something different.

Most PIs offer a few "reputable" 3rd party workshops to Buyer. Maybe some will follow what AD is doing. In most case, I don't think they are particularly concern on whether you use their list of workshops to perform rountine servicing. However, when comes to warranty claim, better go to their recommended workshop.

If unsure, best to check with the PI during shopping.

Cheers!

Insurance is roughly ard $1.5k if you are 35 years old and above and driving experience more than 3 yrs.

$3.8k, maybe due to young driver and just pass the license type.

Hi All Airwaver!

I just got my ride! Wow...The drive is Wonderful! [laugh] Good size, Good space, Good power(I thought the car will be sluggish but in fact not) [thumbsup]

Just pump full tank (42L). Let's see how many km can be covered by a full tank

Next thing to do

1) Rims (any advice on the size from senior Airwaver?)

2) Audio

3) more window flim

Got the airwave liao, for almost 1 week. Got from the same PI as you (P******* M*****). So disappointed with the OMV, only $18K for Airwave with skyroof. Mine's Chiffon Green. But the car's great. The CVT gearbox is so smooth, and it's so spacious. THe air-con a bit weak though, compared to my previous ride the Nissan Sunny. Also looking for tonneau cover. Heard from our SE that it costs around $200+ for one. And also looking for 3M car mats. The mats which came with the car are so small! Doesn't cover much of the beige carpet of the floor. When the car just came, the computer was showing ard 5km/L. I though the system was setting itself. I was right. Coz after almost 1 week, i'm seeing something as high as 16km/L (highway) and ard 14.2km/L (city). And the car's already done more than 400km. What does S and L stand for on the gearbox? I think S is Sports? Coz putting the gear at S holds the gear. Airwave owners, i find the steering a bit dead at the centre. Not very much feedback from the steering wheel also. Nissan Sunny's steering is more talkative. To me, the airwave's steering is like those found in arcades, so dead at the centre. And does putting a side protector at the door looks nice? Coz i found 2 long scratches created by doors opened from cars beside.

Anyway, for the english manual, trying going to the honda website, and get it translated i think. And for leather, our workshop is at Jackspeed right? I think Jackspeed specializes in leather. Or is it a different company? Can check with Jackspeed...

S stands for Sports mode or you can say it as overdrive.

L is actually going for the lowest gear for climbing steep slope or down slope. Mostly use in Malaysia going up and down Genting not local as Singapore don't have very steep slope.

Cheers...
