Hi guys, just fantasizing about taking a vacation amidst the busyness of work today. Wonder if you could share the place where you had your best vacation and why it was special. For me the best place I've been to for a holiday is a small village called Lauterburnnen in the Swiss alps. It's a bit off the main tourist town of Interlaken, so when I went a few years back, it was not very touristy, and not as crowded. There are lots of walking tracks you can take to the surrounding mountains, which is absolutely beautiful in the Swiss summer. The mountain air is fresh, and the people friendly. Wish I was there now.

as the title suggests.... well it can be more than 1 holiday destination........ and state the reason why e.g. less crowded than the usual popular spots, value for money, relaxing, good food etc ..... and only places in south east asia -
Just returned from Thailand Bangkok Stayed at the Amari watergate Hotel Had a great time there Cant believe that food is so cheap people are so gracious skytrain people really wait for everyone to get out of teh train before moving into the train at the station I am going back there a few more time to see if it could be my retirement home Chiang Mai may be the other place but any opinions from experts out there thanks
