  1. A cool Crossover, though boxy but nice design. We should request Ford Singapore to bring it here.
  2. Finally after couples of consideration...I took the plunge the try out Flex XC 3401 VRG R/O..I tested on a BMW 5 series and a Honda Stream separetely.. Damge for the machine is about SGD700 running on 230V..no step down transformer required...Maybe i am really mad but that hobby and passion... The flex is a R/O with 3600 to 9600 opm and a direct drive 160 to 480 rpm polisher.. The combination of orbital/direct drive puts the power/cutting abilities in between a Dual Action Random Orbital polisher (Porter Cable 7424/UDM) and a Rotary type polisher. This gives you greater cutting ability over a D/A, yet still easier and safer to use then a rotary. Flex weighs about 2.2KG and is much heavier compared to PC7424..The cutting ability on the Flex is definitely much faster than with a PC. ..The direct drive on the Flex can generate some heat and helps the polish break down quicker... The power and force rotation of the Flex also helps prevent the machine from bogging down under load or pressure...because of this forced rotation, the Flex can grabh..skip and fight you, similar to a rotary (not as severe), so it takes more control than it does with a PC... The flex comes with a 6inch backing plate and i am using 6.5" pads which I find is difficult to work on those small panel compare to PC7424 using 5.5" polishing pads.. Enough of poison..below are some pictures to share..
  3. Just caught a documentary on cars manufactured in Brazil. Years back, due to ethanol shortage, VW came up with above (some electronic device) enabling car to either use ethanol or gasoline. All it needed was for the car to detect the type of fuel it has in it's tank and compute how much it is needed to get running. The programme ended saying that in the future more motorists might turn to ethanol to save the environment. I don't suppose cars on our road have these technology? Yes, now CNG is only made available in recent years. But, any chances for bio-diesel to reach our shores. If we hv such fuels and technology, at least, we will not be griping about the rising cost of petrol.
