Lchong 4th Gear January 29, 2016 Share January 29, 2016 Does anyone know how much discount I can get for Q5/Q3, X3, GLA currently? I will visit each AD to check myself but want to be prepared before I speak to SEs. Appreciate the help! Yaloryalor 5th Gear January 29, 2016 Share January 29, 2016 C&C practices the over trade game la. Jack up list price then give overtrade. Not only C&C, I tot PML is very good at it also. hahah... In this way, they can maintain the high price tag image and ppl are still buying from them. It also portray as good resale value too.
Spring Moderator January 29, 2016 Share January 29, 2016 Thanks! Using a credit card is a good idea - can get some points/cashback. Do ADs accept credit cards for the balance payment as well? Probably need to be multipe cards + cheque + loan but it would be nice if they do. Thanks T0y0ta and Spring. These are extremely useful advices. Hope I can strike some good deals here. My wife actually is the one who wants SUV, and she picked the models on the list in my original post. I want a sedan, but for the peace of family.. :) I am sure her view will weigh more in the final decision too as ultimately I will be driving it only on weekends. Some ADs do accept part of the down payment in Credit Card but it varies and even within the same AD, some SEs allow a bigger portion to be paid by cc whilst the stricter ones don't so have to ask and abit of arm twisting I guess, good luck!!

Timotheo Clutched January 29, 2016 Share January 29, 2016 Don't get the Q5, the 2nd gen Q5 is about to be unveiled soon. That is a valid point.. but I actually wouldn't mind getting an old model if sold at a deep discount when they clear stocks :) I guess it will take a few months at least for the new Q5 to come out to market, so can't probably wait for it :(

kennytansk 3rd Gear January 29, 2016 Share January 29, 2016 Sure that's the increased prices on KM printed sheet on ------ on that day Today, new printed sheet has two columns, listed price and nett price Accord listed price 156K, Nett price 146K Marketing strategy perhaps Separately, Mercedes C180 listed price before discount drops to all time low of 176k, compared to 199k mid 2015, nett with trade in should be around 165-166k Merc lovers should be very happy Waoh bro, see oso lao nua. If C180 got so much disc, do you know how much is the CLA180? I eyeing that but last month time, it's quoted for 168,888 and got 5K over trade and 3K service credit and 1.2K insurance rebate. Now don't know how much liao. Thanks

Spring Moderator January 30, 2016 Share January 30, 2016 My wife and I have a common understanding. If she is ok with the car, she will still shake her head and walk away, so that I can neg with the sales ppl further. Always worked for me. We guys get carried away when it comes to car buying. Even myself who I feel am quite restrained as far as buying is concerned, do get carried away when it comes to car buying. Guess all of us have our weaknesses. Most women on the other hand whilst having weaknesses in other areas, will reign us guys in reminding of us of our commitments elsewhere so that's why I feel good to bring along a balanced person with u. Wife would be best as likely she's the Financial Controller as well. I always tell my wife u can control me when it comes to car buying but I will do likewise when u go shopping

They need to maintain the brand image. Why not consider the A6 since its Ard the same price @209k If want SUV only, can consider the land Rover sports, it's also Ard that pricing.
