Rich, need to correct you. Sorry ya. Die die must go back TC. Not if possible. He Juz got his car only. Feel sorry for him.

Hey dash1234,

No problem at all ...issue is that if depending on where he got his insurance, his insurance coy will not allow it.

For my CO as with her 3 sunny, we only get from tied-in AIG with office at TC BT to ensure only TC repairs her cars ..but not cheapest insurance premium hor.

Cheers.

Richard

Turbocharged

Only 2 L can off the DRL.

Yours is 2 L?

Yes, mine is the 2.0l. I didn't know it can be turned off.

The settings are giving me major headaches. Just found the esp off light turned on just now. Have to monitor.

Bros, please see my 2 cents on why I am against stop start and have disable stopstart module on in my CO's 1.2L as reproduced from my msg in thr whatsapp group chat:

Back to stop start ..it cannot be good for battery if car electronics are still running without engine and alternator running to power then ...just drawing from battery which strains it. Special and expensive battery needed then and die fast but yet aircon not running not cold in our hot and sunny Singapore weather.

Mechanically, I do not like the induced vibrations and noises from stopping and then restarting .....this can only get worse when car ages and you can be assured engine mounting to be worn out sooner. What about then the starter, sparks and all the usual stressed components which are further stressed due to repeated stopling and starting ? Sure, they say more robust built with already such consideration ..then I say great cos if it is disabled, it will mean longer lasting components then ..haha !

So what is the advantages then ?? Save some fuel, meet carbon emission and save the world ?? Save for who ?? For those who drive say 2.0L version and other higher carbon emission car ?? Why should we ?? If really to save the world, all 1.2L with stopstart then ?? Or even simply all to go hybrid or even full electric cars ? Nay ..all bureacratic BS and I say this SS thingy is not for the car performance or environment or driver ......my 2 cents and a bit.

Last but not least ..less or same but not more chances for power loss/e brakes delay or loss.

Cheers.

Richard

Turbocharged

The 2.0 l can off the DRL . Light has 4 positions : All off, DRL on, all headlights on and automatic.

Btw the steering has 2 selector: normal and sport. There are other functions on chassis control , leave you to find out

Will need some time to figure out the chassis control thing. Thanks.

hi folks, I uds this is solely for QQ 2014 onwards, but I am currently driving a 09 QQ 2.0, recently when idle (brakes stepped in and RPM @ 1+, the car started to rattle, and it gets more annoying as time pass by.

Most of us would have guess time for a engine mounting change.

my question is, if yes, what will be the price range and where to get the EM and last but not least, a reputable workshop for the change?

regards.

Hahah true true. I wanted to give him a chance and let him settle it private after getting TCM to give me a repair quote. Will see how tomorrow at the service center.

Thanks all for the support.

Bro, recommend to go back TC la... Brand new car and but worth it to repair outside...

Upset for sure. See my poor QQ now kena dent and scratch super heart pain. Inside don't know where leaking also… but just trying to be factual and get through what is necessary to get over this. Most importantly, nobody injured.

And actually it's quite funny. The taxi driver wife want me to take quotation of repairs from Nissan and then bring to outside workshop and compare see which one cheaper… lol. Like go market buy veggie…

Bro,

If inside leaking got to be careful, unless you are sure it's water (could be wiper tank or air con condensate), else don't drive anymore.

Also remember to report to insurance company within 24hrs or next working day, be it going to be a insurance claim or private settlement.

Like many had already said, you should go back to TC for the repairs.

That's your perogative.

Let the insurance companies do the talkings amongst themselves.

Thanks all for the advices. I brought it back to TC early this morning to make a report and do a claim. Still driving the car while waiting for them to come back to me over the claim progress. Estimated repair cost is about 2k

Be safe and drive carefully on the roads.

Hi Kumquat,

SGD2k does not sound serious ..... many conti bumper alone itself is sgd3-5k and even Nissan's Cefiro is already 1.2k.

Yes, be safe and drive carefully and throw away those GuNiang horns !!!!

Cheers.

Hi Mh23,

Indeed, TC repair and service are not unreasonably high and for our new warrantied cars, would strongly advise going back to TC else warranty also compromised.

Cheers.

Hey Kumquat,

Confirmed with your insurance coy that you can go back to TC to repair yet ??  Not sure if you also bought insurance that allows you to repair at TC and not to be bidded and repaired by lowest quoting serviceshop :(

Cheers,

Richard

Wah uncle Richard, don't scare me please. I just brought the car back to TC and their service agent complete the insurance form and procedures for me. He said change bumper so I supposed it's done by TC?

Anyway car still with me. Have to wait their the other party's insurance agree on the claim first. Last time I drove Honda, KM asked me to go outside for 3rd party claims. At least TC handle it all for me.
