Gexer Neutral Newbie November 11, 2005 Share November 11, 2005 yes open pod setup. filter preferred is the apexi. i can take a look at the space and advise you how to get the pod done so that you will have space and will not hinder the air flow. also will alter your ram when installing the set up. Yc86 Clutched November 11, 2005 Share November 11, 2005 (edited) hehe... not trying to flame/quote slam u bro... i also did this diy CAI thingy though its not direct (has a gap before the filter) and looks rather crude.. yours looks more neat n presentable guess if there's only so much to do to a stock setup, u'd try every way to squeeze every bit of gain with the limited choices u have... BMW320i Neutral Newbie November 11, 2005 Share November 11, 2005 yap boost. to me it is boost for sure. i am happy with the gain i acheived with my mod. i know it sounds funny and might be consider snake oil to some. well, my dyno show gain and i am happy with it. need it be called power, boost, compression, torque is no longer important. i am happy how my car perform for me. Spade Neutral Newbie November 11, 2005 Share November 11, 2005 i've done my open pod + CAI too, and it works for me... yes open pod must remove the stock intake plastics and replace with a nice looking tube system. I have not "gained" HP, moreso I have "released" the HP that the engine can produce... thus better performance. Stock intake plastics are there to fully restrict all means of dirt excess to make the engine last as long as possible. However in SG, 10 yrs is a relatively short time, so unless you buang big time, the engine won't likely be worn out so badly over 10 yrs.
Yc86 Clutched November 11, 2005 Share November 11, 2005 'release hp': lolx that's a better term to use yup... and the air in s'pore is relatively cleaner than our neighbouring countries

Gexer Neutral Newbie November 13, 2005 Share November 13, 2005 Oh ok I didn't know it's "Turbocharged" i know it is crazy. but if you are in open pod. i can sure gain back your low end. i just finished a vios today. his low end is superb. now he has to pull his hand brakes to help his braking. we tested. 0-100 = 9sec for AT vios. before 10.5 sec. stock 11 sec never try dun laugh. you dun need a turbo to be fast. all you need is brain. BMW320i Neutral Newbie November 13, 2005 Share November 13, 2005 Dude, I believe my mods are more aggressive then yours by 10 folds. So yeah .... STFU
Gexer Neutral Newbie November 13, 2005 Share November 13, 2005 (edited) dude, in the first place, i never slam your statement,. i also not interested if your car is more agressively modded (the TP are more interested) i also never laugh that you car is slow. so why laugh at ppls statment? i didnt say my car is turbo. just that i am using the priciple logic of compressing air into the TB. i know you car is more agressive. but dun need to laugh at ppl. ppl are not laughing at you so why the earth you are doing that to ppl? so what if your car is turbo or super charged? what you trying to show off? that are also cars out there who are even more agressive than you. so? the whole ideal is to share here an not to laugh at ppl. i believe a BMW M3 can easily che your 320i. you pay the same price (if you are driving 320i) as a evo so does that make you stupid too? so dun laugh at ppl and be humble. we share same passion in cars so why must you slam me? also for your info, Mz3 do have turbocharged. 2.3T with 240bhp stock. you are so dah naive to make statement laughing at ppl. i look down on you dude.
