Question.

Anyone knows why on my car's speedometer, the 30km/h and 50km/h mark is indicated in red while the rest are all in white? I know it is not defective, it is like that since I collected the car. Any special indication?

Red = danger. It's telling you that driving slowly is dangerous. Please drive faster [:p]

Sorry, don't know what they mean :XD:

Don't exceep 30kmph in Gear1 and 50kmph in Gear 2. The red lines are to indicate the max speed for those gears.

That is the most optimist gear shifting point indicator... of course you can drag... but no longer fuel economy...

I know for VW, the speedo also has these red markings cos in some European countries, the cities and schools zones has a speed limit of between 30-50kmph.

I always thought it is the speed limit. Cuz mine got red mark at 50km/h. I rented one car when overseas and they had the red mark at 30mph which was the speed limit of most of their small roads there.
