New Honda Civic VTI-S 1.8A - 140 bhp, looks to me not so nice unless fitted wif bodykit. higher road tax and insurance.

New Mitsubishi Lancer Turbo 1.8A - 165 bhp from GDI turbo. heard easily overheated. not really worth the price.

New Toyota Corolla Altis 1.8A - power wise should be ard 140 bhp but its a family man's car. if u're looking for power, it shouldnt be ur choice.

2005 Honda Civic VTI-S 1.7A - the manual one is a more powerful ride.

2004 Toyota Corolla 1.6A - same as altis, family man's car

COE Honda Civic SIR 1.6A - high maintiance might be needed. furthermore 10 yrs old auto gearbox might gif problems in the near future. go for a manual if u want more power. also, the most powerful ride on ur list.

i think u should consider the new suzuki swift sport.

How come all new car, then suddenly dash out a COEed Civic?

Given the choice and if your pocket allow, go for the new 1.8L Civic based on your criteria. In fact, I think you have already made your own choice by setting such guideline. [:)]

Just went to KM showroom to touch touch and sit in the new Civic. I must say:

The interior = [thumbsup][thumbsup][thumbsup][thumbsup][thumbsup] ( At this price range, win hands down )

Exterior = [thumbsup][thumbsup][thumbsup][thumbsup] ( Front looks like City, Headlamp like BMW, Back like Integra )

Power and Handling = did not test drive so cannot tell. Doubt it makes sense to just compare specs.
