lansonp Neutral Newbie February 15, 2015 Share February 15, 2015 My Volksvagen Jetta 1.4 TSI just passed its 3rd year and the ABS, ESP and brake lights all came on at the same time. The service centre says the ABS pump needs to be replaced. The cause of ABS pump damage is due to normal wear & tear ( 50K mileage ) Cost of pump plus labour - about $3000. Does anyone know where to get a cheaper ABS pump for Jetta? Thank you.

Thank you. this should not be an wear and tear item IMO, we don't activate ABS that often to subject to loads on the pump, or unless u r those that brake till damn hard.. else, I couldn't think of any reason why the abs pump will break. Xtrah 3rd Gear February 17, 2015 Share February 17, 2015 Hi guys, There is a facebook thread on all the VW issues. Imgaine car just went dead on NSHW. The VW owners setup a campaign to create awareness of VW issues. There are videos where all the VWs drive on the road horning their unhappiness. Rather amusing. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Vw-Dsg-7-Defects-Community/306447496142735

timchau87 Clutched April 6, 2017 Share April 6, 2017 Thanks for the tip! Really ah ok. So better to get a jap / korean car 2nd hand ah follow this criteria never wrong:buy 2nd hand car never consider conti car, especially those warranty expired i've heard mixed things about vw jetta - some say good price, fuel efficient, reliable, others complain non stop haha follow this criteria never wrong:buy 2nd hand car never consider conti car, especially those warranty expired
Hamburger Hypersonic April 6, 2017 Share April 6, 2017 follow this criteria never wrong: buy 2nd hand car never consider conti car, especially those warranty expired Please don't spread fears leh. How well do you know a conti especially one without warranty. More important is how the car is thoroughly checked before purchase. Jap or korea car is also cumbersome if bought one that is without proper maintenance. French or Germans spare parts at times are cheaper than you think so. ↡ Advertisement
