do you have any recommendation that has great grip wet/dry(of course not as good as R-S2 [laugh]) without the extreme tire roar of R-S2, and without the vague feeling that comes with GY F1 GS-D3? [:p]

revspec gives me good grip in the dry, so-so in the wet, and a vague feeling which i dislike the most [:/]

was thinking of the new preceda [confused]

2 very good tyres :

V8RS - good overall dry & wet grip. Quiet. those that have switch from Preceda / GR-80 say this tyre is better

Hankook k104 - Gd dry & even better wet grip. Not as quiet as V8RS but much quietier than R-S2.

Post: Not CSC2, but CSC3 I meant

===========================================================================

If stopped by Malaysian Traffic Police and asked to settle with Kopi-$$, just pay those arse-hols RGT$50, nothing more and treat that as Track-Fee

Nope, no experience with CSC3, but the CSC2 is pretty good, but at near $500 a piece for 17", consider seriously if its worth it.

i will say u r right with that price on conti we can change tyre more often if we will to take hankook.I think its much over price.

i think they hv another good tyre the S1 Evo. This tyre is for higher end car they come at minimun 17" to 22" or higher.i heard that HAMANN is fitting this tire to their fleet too.

CSC2 does last longer than the PS2 and RS2, its probably good for people who don't want to change tires often, who want everything in one package..... for a price of course. I would probably term it Long Life High Performance Low Noise Tires.

If you can get it for a really really low and good price, grab it.

Other than that, we'd have to compromise something somewhere.

@ $500/pc for 17". I can change twice as often on R-S2 and yet got $$ left over for a very nice fancy dinner for my whole family.

Even if it does last longer who does 60k km in a year any ways unless U R a taxi driver. I change my tyres every ~18mths as the rubber hardens quickly in our climate.

I find R-S2 noise more than acceptable. Noisy are AD07, F1 GS-D3 (Thai), Falk RTs, ST115, Falks Ziex, FK451.

Its definitely noisy. Its not as noisy as the AD07. I am doing a self test of sorts. I have AD07s on my fronts and RS2s on the rear. Front roar noise increased lots over the original RS2s.

I did quick and simple review further up the thread. Take a look see. I was German GSD3 F1s before switching to RS2s. Only thing is I don't like the rolling thumping sound of the RS2s. I believe one of the tires I got had some rubber imbalance in the molding of the tire, causing an irritating rolling thumping noise.

Now its replaced by AD07 roar! haha... you win some, you lose some.

not sure, but its most likely less than $150. Mine are 17s so I am not sure. The noise of the RS2 isn't going to be much less... infact it could be louder.

Check out Toh Guan road or the hankook shop at outram.
