Double vision on tinting?

Hi all, could I check with you guys...has any of you faced "double vision" on the lighting at night after tinting your car? Wad's caused it? The quality of the film?

Double vision sounds quite bad ... how can you drive with double vision ?

 

How long ago was the tinting done ? It normally takes a week for the film to cure and that's assuming everyday is a hot sunny day ... takes longer in current weather where it rains quite bad.

 

For me, initially just 'wavy lines' at the rear with some halos and glare .. but over time, they 'disappear'.

 

Be careful if double vision still exists ...

Mine had for a few weeks. Dun worry, it will clear up. At the meantime, just drive carefully.

I see...thanks guys. Tinting was done less than a week. I suppose I'll have to wait to see how it goes...wad do u think will be a good time frame?

Poor quality of film or

Time to have your lenses checked

do u have this on all the sides that u tinted or only on ur windscreen? cos if all the sides, then ur tint film is not a good quality cos when they stick to the mirrors, the film will integrate with the mirror so that it become one. if only on the windscreen, then installation is not proper as our wndscreen is curved. the problem also will occure if u have more than one film on the mirror. it will create a correction like in lenses but since the correction cannot do a proper sphere or cylinder, double vision will occur......

 

for installation that's done more than a day or two, it shld already be considered cured with exceptions of a few bubles at the edge...

Are you refering to blurred images? It is part of the film, adhesive & partly the curvature of windscreen when they need to heat shrink to fit.

 

Skill of installer plays a part. Suspect the quality of the original film also will play a part.

 

The reflected lines on the rear windscreen never did disappear for mine, they only become less prominent after drying out, but you can still see the "lighted" demister lines at night.

I only knows that rear windscreen does occurs as this is due to the heater elements which derives from it.

 

But what i notice is that mine has got reflective images on all the things(e.g : IU) reflected on the screen.

 

Its really not use to it.

Wat brand of film?? the previous brand i used (Th***** Gu***) got this issue. The current film (3*) i use no problem. Believe not due to workmanship nor curing.

hi all, I am having this problem too. I just installed it 2 days ago and having a little blur blur windscreen. My side windows are ok. Normally how long it take for the blur blur look to go away? Is it true that during this period the more we sun the car the film will tighten and the blur blur vision will go away?

How long u intend to drive yr car? For the dark look or really blocking of UV & IR? If short term (less than 3 yrs) n look go for affordable film like Th****** Gu***. Personally n from frens this film not that effective.. But if u serious n can stretch yr budget go for V****, 3* or H**** O***.

If got budget go for better ones. If not like me I choose coolnlite. Althought they are not the best product , but they at least their honour their words. Film got pro ?, they replace immediately no question ask. I went back 2 times for replacement and they did happily for me with no .
