Nowadays bus lane is from 5-8pm Mon to Fri, no longer from 430-7pm. Do take note. Even got single yellow line, I guess you can only parked free after 8pm.

Just wondering... if we are in your situation and the bus-lane timings are in operation, is it ok to turn into the bus lane and flashing the RIGHT signal. (to indicate that we have the intention to leave the bus lane)

can, provided that there's no digital camera in place. you want to flash highbeam, wave your underwear or g-string also can. [laugh]

but when there's tripod infront, you can only hope that the memory card is corrupted.

But it does help if you appeal. they might see your signal and give chance.

What's wrong with u?? Didn't LTA send each driver a coupon holder with all the bus lane timing printed behind it?

Go paste it on your windscreen for goodness sake if u cannot remember the timings. [rolleyes]

I see a lot of uncle drivers doing that cos they know they cannot remember the timings. U should learn from them.

Mr Stationwagon, If I were the pick-up driver, I would have also horned at you (ironic thing is I oso drive a pick-up but I'm definitely not that driver... [laugh] ). Weekday lunchtime where got bus lane restriction? Juz get out of the lane and move on.

Got ... but from what I know ... it's the "red line" bus lane along Orchard road. I'm not sure is there such rules in China town area.

Can anybody confirms?

Hillstreet if I remember correctly.. someone need to waste their 2 cents of bandwidth and go to onemotoring to look see look see.. [laugh]

Hi,

Yes, I think the red ones are out of bounds the whole day. I think it can only be found at Orchard Road....still in the trial period, I think.

As for my unintellectual self, I can never remember the timings, so its safest for me to steer clear of all bus lanes all the time. And it looks like I'm not the only one, judging from the number of drivers who avoid bus lanes even at night. [laugh]

Bus lane timings are simple ...

Weekdays: 7am-9.30am (2hrs 30mins) & 4.30pm-7pm (2hrs 30mins)

* So it's 7am + 2hr30mins and 7pm - 2hr30mins.

Saturday: 7am-9.30am (Same) & 11.30am-2pm (2hrs 30mins also)

Easy to remember liao right?

if still can't remember, then wait for the fine.. sure remember [sly]

Best is follow the rest if can't remember the timing correctly. If majority stays away then monkey see monkey do, sure won't go wrong one. [laugh][laugh]

if still unsure, stop a bus, go to their behind and look at the signage [:p]

At least u bother to paste it on your fridge. I believe ppl like TS simply chuck it away without knowing what it is.

Somemore got the cheek to call other ppl impatient. Crazy enough to post it here for all to laugh at him.

Don't bother. Such ill informed person such as the TS, my guess is that he's got fantanstic boh chap attitude.

He just want to post his frustration on the pick-up driver for ppl of the same level as he is to shoot him.

if you are unsure, don't go into the lane.

if you want to go into the lane, follow other cars..

otherwise, one motoring.

I'm sure your PC don't have restriction to you going into onemotoring, right?

or you can read the whole thread. it's been written out a few times liao

actually the dotted line is for filtering out and picking up speed. it's not really meant for waiting at the lane and change lane when it's clear to move to lane 2
