Go to South East Tyre, as far as I know, they are the only one doing this method. Not sure abt others, I know a lot of shops using the plug method only. Pisces69 6th Gear October 9, 2006 Share October 9, 2006 A good tyre shop can tell u by looking at the hole if can fix or not. How did they mend? From outside with the rubber worm or patch from inside? Go to a GOOD tyre shop & check with them. If really cannot mend, use your spare tyre or buy a 2nd hand tyre if can get same model. They r quite cheap (Abt $25 ea) & have abt 80% left. If no choice, get a new 1 if the other 3 tyres r still quite new. Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

Pisces69 6th Gear October 9, 2006 Share October 9, 2006 That means your spare is a "donut" type. Small tyre type. Than if cannot patch, look for a 2nd hand spare. 1pc If got same type. Dumb 4th Gear October 9, 2006 Share October 9, 2006 If your spare tyre is new and the same as the used ones, I suggest you get another new tyre and replace front tyres with the new tyres. After 10k or 20k, move them to the back and get new ones again for the front. Thereafter, you can start changing 2 tyres at a time instead of 4 tyres at one go which is the case if you used to rotate your tyres. Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

Sony 1st Gear October 9, 2006 Share October 9, 2006 try to mend it from the inside. When they 1st mend it, most likely they did the injection type. The proper one is to remove the tyres and separate it from the rim and mend it from there. If it really can't, then change the rubber. No choice, Safety shd be your top concern. As for who can mend it from inside, I think any shops can do it, it's just whether they want to anot. It shd cost around $10 or so.. I did mine for $10 but I think there's cheaper. anyway, it's only a few dollars different, no need to search round the island for the cheapest, go to one that is convenient for you Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

No lar.. quite a lot of others can do it. but most chose not to do it coz it's very troublesome and the price for internal patching compared to injection is very little, thus no incentive for them to execute the more difficult job.
