Gamax Neutral Newbie December 31, 2006 Share December 31, 2006 Hi all Verna 1.6 auto owners, Just to check, whats your fuel consumption for your ride so far. Have done abt 8k plus, pretty lighted footed, seldom go above 3RPM. Driving habit is about 60 - 70 % highway. For my FC, I can only average about 10km/L... Is that the norm for a Verna? Cause if it is, then I feel the FC sucks big time Appreciate all Verna owners comments. what to expect from korean car? ↡ Advertisement

Hornyboy69 Neutral Newbie April 13, 2007 Share April 13, 2007 Dude, you and I are somewhat in the same boat. Got a Verna 1.6 (A). I drive a 50/50 mix on highway and town, I can get at best 11.89 Km/L. So far I have added in a KNN drop in air filter, grounding system for the ignition aka voltage stabilizer and spark optimizers. I have also changed my engine oil to X-Rev 5W30. This oil is good around $90 for 4 Liters. From what I have found out from the forums, the Verna 1.6 (A) is supposed to give about 10 km/L. Friendstar Supercharged April 13, 2007 Share April 13, 2007 Wah so lucky, i almost buy a Verna... but decided to get a Toyota instead.. better FC and Brand to be trusted Verna has FC of 12-13km/l? Isn't that better than Altis, at a cheaper price too? ______________________________________________ Well i bought a Toyota Belta instead which gives me good fuel consumption of 16.5-17km/l. Yah right my picnic can hit 20km/litre also

Civicblade 2nd Gear April 13, 2007 Share April 13, 2007 My 1.6A has just hit 1000km mark. During the run-in period, it averages around 11-12km/l. 30% Highway, 70% Stop start. I believe the FC is going to get better over time. Air-con off during acceleration. Engine off at long waiting time traffic lights. No sitting around idling with air-con on.
