Had a XC90 for more than 4.5 yrs. serve me very well.

too bad when felt like changing car, there is no new model.

Hopefully with new owners and better financials,a new model not too far away.

Enjoy ur ride........!

As the matter of fact, I kinda like their approach of retaining 90% of how the model looks like until they are ready to roll out their all new design, even their facelifts won't be create mockery between the previous model. I like that!

I researched on the web on the release of the all new XC90, quite safely it would be 2013+- by then it would be a great timing to trade-up your current baby. I can't help but wonder if they will follow the footstep of range rover by retaining the essence of the model? Would you mind sharing with us your happiness and woes with your XC90?

Stefan jacosby had released the new that they are going to create a Volvo that not only equals to safety but also be know as a swede luxury car maker, taking on the Germans in the game. I am quite sure that Volvo is going to make it happen...just take a look at their new releases, it's not difficult to see it coming.

Finally received the news that my bid of my number plate is successful. This number plate is very special because it has the initials of my parents, younger sister, myself, my childrens and my wife and its my family cars number...so blessed to have that number plate! Going to pass down the number plate to the next generation for sure!

I am officially a Volvo owner from tomorrow onwards! YAY! :D Hopefully I'll join the many happy XC90 drivers!!! [sunny]

Own it for 4 yrs and 8 mths, clocked about 50,000km(pretty low).

A titanium grey 2.5T. original condition, only added Huper Optik solar film and upgrade the rims/wheels.

Nothing broke or spoilt except if remember correctly, the "limit switch"for ABS faulty, replaced FOC under warranty.

Other than the abovementioned, Nothing else broke.

My 2nd Volvo after S60, so not much surprised.

Huge huge turning radius, FC not so good, abt 7Km+/litre, (on 255/50R19)

After sales/servicing top notch, Battery solid from day 1 till sold......Always start with 1 crank.

Very good road holding in the wet, esp on E'ways with standing water, can literally bash thru.

Loved the car, was sad to let it go......

No woes at all during these few yrs of ownership......

Indicated on the previous posts, slightly better than 7km/litre.....!

When on standard 17inch rims, could occasionally touched 8km/litre.

Mostly on SPC95........

I love it XD Compared to the XC60 , the XC90 is much better.. Nice Design , good space , better performance.. . Congratz on your New Ride xD

Thank buddy! I am lovin it as much. With the in-car entertainment system, my xc felt like a magic school bus but my kids are having loads of fun! SM did a very meaningful handing over of the my polar bear, it was almost like I am receiving my new born baby...Well done, SM! [flowerface]

Cheers!

Dude , is the third row spacious? Coz my dad wanna replace his Toyota Estima.. haha. He likes the 2.5T engine..

Estima is really a nice car, infact I was toying with Touran, Estima and Alphard. The funny thing is that I totally forget about Toyota fortuner before buying my XC and I have to urge you to go have a look.

For easy in/out access, I don't really think there is much to consider its either the estima or the estima.

The XC90 is crown as the King of Comfort for a good few good reasons but most definately not for the third row if compared to Estima. Besides the 3 Row, FC and turning radius, everything of the XC90 is a real sweet exprience. I took the liberty to include a link of the current promotion of Volvo.

Please accept my late apologies for my late reply.

Hey no problem.. Haha.

Yeah. .Indeed the Estima is a nice car.. So far , dad decided on test driving XC90 , new Sharan , Espace and Estima. XC90 next week.. The rest next year as all coming out, I heard...

As for the Fortuner , indeed it is a monster with space.. But it is too tasll and it's 2.7L has not much power...

And Alphard , my dad's favourite , cannot coz too tall for many HDB Carparks.. and also some MSCP...

Cheers bro..

Thanks [laugh]

Good luck mate! now Volvo has a FREE upgrade from XC90 to XC90 R-DESIGN!!! :P Don't know whats the catch...I bought my too early so didn't bother to find out.

Forget about Espace...it had been all this while RUBBISH a Brrrxxnd. Why not try Ford Galaxy, Mazda 8 for MPV. As for SUV, I can't think of any 7 seater that drives like a XC90. Keep me posted on your dad's choice ley...:P

Alphard Vital Status: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toyota_Alphard

Singapore Carpark Height Limit: http://4x4singapore.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2235

XC90 Vital Status: http://www.volvocars.com/sg/all-cars/volvo...es/default.aspx

If I remember correctly the max height for most HDB is 1.9m :(
