Cheesey74 Supercharged January 3, 2007 Share January 3, 2007 I'm ard the same age as you. From what u describe, imho u r doing very well for your age. None of my good frens, including me, can match what u have financially. However, dun bother abt $$$ too much and fall into the wealth trap. To me, as long as we r happy and content with what we have and able to afford, we will always be a happy man. The search for more wealth is in a way, a very intangible infinite race and i dun think i will died laughing or smiling just bcos i got plenty of money in my coffin :) Daniel
Santa Neutral Newbie January 3, 2007 Share January 3, 2007 hi brother gravestone no words can describe my sympathy for you. no matter how bad shape you are now - just pray onto your god, buddha etc...i belived a life created by them should not withstand such injusty. i believed you are also in your 30's - you still have a good 30-40 years ahead...a turn around might emerged. like those other brothers who say they have high life friends but they never been successful for more than 3-5 years, so no matter how bad state you are - i suppose same theory apply. chinese saying goes, 'feng shiu lun li chuan'. Hobbiez Neutral Newbie January 3, 2007 Share January 3, 2007 life is never fair and think we ought to fight for it. Yes laws tend to side ladies and men - unless you can get good lawyers, then there's a better chance to win. Sorry to hear one of the bro predicament. Guess he is one nice fellow who sincerely love his daughter very much. Trust me, God will guide you through this difficult times. One thing I don't understand is why the car goes to her and yet you still have to pay half of 30k outstanding when she defaulted it in the first place. All this can be avoided by passing the car to you. Maybe can check with car company/bank whether can don't pay outstanding but retain back car and pay-back the outstanding monthly loans? Wonsim Clutched January 3, 2007 Author Share January 3, 2007 I know it not healthy to compare but sometime just cant help it. Ldawn88 2nd Gear January 3, 2007 Share January 3, 2007 in the context of applying women chapters to divorce cases, think most of us here knows the laws tend to side which sex. as for the rationale why bro Gravestone and his ex-spouse did not work out on the defaulted ride and why he did not nego with his ex-spouse on taking over the rise, and still willing to pay for half of the 30k... think he must have a reason to do that... Darth_mel 1st Gear January 3, 2007 Share January 3, 2007 (edited) Frankly, gahmen is using media to stir up our emotions and you certainly have fallen for the bait. Look at the Sunday Times with constant bombardment of coverage on high-fliers and their investments. It is blatantly obvious someone up there wants us to believe that economy is booming and employment is up. It's time for you to take the red pill and see life out of the rabbit hole. Wonsim Clutched January 3, 2007 Author Share January 3, 2007 when ppl are slightly successful, temptations are great. start to buy condo or landed properties on high monthly installments. commit nice cars on installments. enjoy finer things in life. till they are so used to it and lost track of their expense. But imagine if they lose their job... how much in debt will they be in? I was once like that few years back when I started eanring decent $$$. Never buy condo but changed 3 rides in 5 years. Loss close to 30K all in all for changing cars What worry me most is mid career crisis. I personally saw some of the senior managers in my ex company (Jap MNC) being sort of forced out by the management, and in come younger, cheaper replacement. They dun retrench so as to save on retrenchment fees but they put these senior managers in superb bo liao/low esteem positions, reporting to those even lower rank than them. After sometime, due to pride or whatever, these senior managers one by one resign.
Porker Turbocharged January 3, 2007 Share January 3, 2007 Bro I support you. Lots of women sleep their way to the top. Not all but lots. The feminist can come and suck my dick and kiss my a$$ if they demand equality. Women and Men are made different and have certain roles to play. For sure they can work but don't cross the line into man's boundary and vice versa. Thats why I prefer the virtuous women of our mothers' (and beyond) generation. They know where they stand and what they have to do. They have my biggest respect. Myself... I've been in 2 failed relationships and I just think its not worth the time anymore at the end of the day. Women... you love them and you hate them at the same time! LOL

Darth_mel 1st Gear January 3, 2007 Share January 3, 2007 (edited) For me, there is no such thing as "trust" in a relationship. I only focus on the "thrust". That is much more practical and instantaneous pleasure is ensured. "One d**k to rule them all, One d**k to bind them, One d**k to bring them all and in the darkness screw them." Sorry for plagiarizing from Tolkien. Edited January 3, 2007 by Darth_mel
Porker Turbocharged January 3, 2007 Share January 3, 2007 PAP likes to con mis-informed people. Hope you don't fall for their tricks again. You're in a very good position.
