Picanto 3rd Gear January 9, 2007 Share January 9, 2007 CAN WE CONCLUDE that speeding is the cause of this tragedy? ↡ Advertisement
Blackyv Turbocharged January 9, 2007 Share January 9, 2007 may not be 100% true... could be due to "exploding" tyre, could be due to side wind, could be due to sleepy driver, could be due to oily road, could be due to many reasons or combinations of a few reasons and speeding could be one of the reason or factor only but many people will always assume it's the only cause of any accident.... Arowana1 1st Gear January 9, 2007 Share January 9, 2007 nope, you cant conclude anything. nsh speed limit is 110kmph. at that speed, if u hit a pothole or dumb enough to swerve hard to avoid something, you WILL lose control. any car can also jump the divider, juz look back at the mx5 accident. low cg, still jump and fly onto opposite vehicle. Yeshe Turbocharged January 9, 2007 Share January 9, 2007 When I used to a drive a sub-1000kg car like the Vios on the NSHW at 200kmh (dumb dumb dumb to do that last time), it was a scary experience, causing me to slow down to only around 160kmh (still quite fast... not good). LOL... so you are the 2nd one i heard so far. my crazy colleague used to drive his MT Vios to KL hitting 200km/h at times. at one time, he was drving at around 190km/h on the NSWH back to SG on lane 1. from far can see a big pickup ( malaysia pickup very tall one ) on lane 2. so he maintain his speed at 190ish. when he almost near the pickup, the pickup suddenly cut into his lane, obviously never check the blind spot. my colleague cannot ebrake in time, hence manage to squeeze the vios between the pickup and central divider at 180km/h. the pick up was already 1/2 into lane 1 and i was the front passenger... curse and swear after that, luckily the colleague of mine is quite a good driver, but crazy. Joneses Neutral Newbie January 9, 2007 Share January 9, 2007 wah shows that x trail not onli can langa people to death. it can occasionally flatten them as well!!! HAHAHAHA but back to reality, it is also amazing how a X trail can fly and flatten a merc....... i think the problem here is that mercs are not designed for direct roof top impact the x-trail, and i believe most SUVs are, however, designed for roll over situations, giving it a stronger sturdier roof.. i guess the reason why wong hasnt died is because the mercs roof, and its occupants, provided the critical "crumple zone"
Mubarakrashid Neutral Newbie January 9, 2007 Share January 9, 2007 CAN WE CONCLUDE that speeding is the cause of this tragedy? YOU CAN CONCLUDE that if you want... i'm not investigator nor coroner to come out with such verdict..

Superblackbox Neutral Newbie January 12, 2007 Share January 12, 2007 why ppl think tht traveling in a SUV is better with more power. thus causing them to speed. Dnt think they knw a SUV is for. Its nt meant for speeding. DUH!! nt to forget. some driver wanna play corner while driving an SUV.... yes i do agree tht SUV is safer but when accidents occur. its the SUV suffer least and the other party suffer the most. Number19 Neutral Newbie January 12, 2007 Share January 12, 2007 Read that the design of vans/lorries cause them to be more subjective to cross-winds. X-trail is quite boxy in terms of its design isn't it ↡ Advertisement
