hope this will clarify the matter on wher is vios made from.....the parts are definitely assembled in thailand.as where it is made from,ot varies on the parts.some are made in china,some made in japan and majority made in thailand.wat i gather the steel came from japan,hitachi nippon steel.wat toyota did when they open up a plant in thailand,was to collaborate with the parts maker and haf them too setup their shop in thailand,thus able to reduce the cost of producing a car.however some does still come from overseas like japan,china n even singapore if u go into bits n pieces.at the end of the day,it is all about outsourcing with keepin cost down in mind....so u can open up ur car boot and look around on the parts n u can spot wher they are made from.i saw tis myself......

Wow, thanks for sharing and though the main purpose is to keep the manufacturing cost low but it does not affect the cost of the car at all!

BM has not even started to bid COE for me ... 2 bids over from when I'd placed my deposit already.

 

I was told the 1st batch will be released in May, Mine's supposed to be 2nd batch.

I booked the 'early bird' package, hence I'd got 1k rebates, plus it was before the price rose.

No freebies, only $200 cash rebate from my SE.

I'd booked the G model by the way.

 

BM have not started bidding for my COE... 2 bids passed already.

those who saw the new Vios already, do you thinks it'll look nice with spoiler? although options not available yet, but thinking of installing later. I thought maybe can reduce the 'roundness' look of the car after installing, or will it make it worse.
