Not terribly expensive. The list price is $200 with installation service included at your door step.

Bargain with the guy a bit and I'm sure he'll get you a good price like he did for the rest of us.

Yup, even Darklord installed it long time ago with him.

It's quite universal. It's like a piggy-back to any alarm system. And he will also ask you which button you want to get the car to start too.

I posted his ebay site where I got it from, but I guess not many people clicked on it instead. I've got quite a few PM on how to contact him already.

Anyone who wants to install it like I did, just give Dexter a call at 96959261

Called Bernard the last time I wanted to strip my Vios of the URES prior to selling so that I could keep it for my S15. End up it was Dexter who did it for me.

Now Dexter also does car alarms, going door to door to do it.

I think he even has a trunk release mode for the alarm too.

That is true. I'm also not sure how an immbolizer works currently myself. Car move too far away from remote, then car will die off?

Maybe that's why I chose to stick to a simple alarm system.

what I heard from other people, cos I dont have immobiliser, is that there's a chip in yr key and there's a sensor near the ignition so only the orig key then can start the car. If u dup the key elsewhere, n use the duplicated key to start the car, the car won't start.

So for the URES, cos it's remote start n the chip is not detected by the sensor, then car won't start.. but there are ways around this though..
