Is Caltex good compared to ESSO. I recently receive OCBC credit card promo on Caltex petrol ( $3/- disc voucher ) on top of more % disc. Think of using it.

How come MY can maintain their petrol price and Spore cant ???????

RM1.92/ltr for RON97....abt SGD85 cents bah. No need any stupid card promotion, station discount or whatever nonsense. Just a straight transparent cost.

And when they increase, they increase by 30%.

I think MY just increase the price 1 year ago. Can u image paying less than SGD85 cents per ltr previously..... [sweatdrop][sweatdrop][sweatdrop]

No wonder so many ppl install the whatever gadget to play with the meter. [:p][:p][:p]

But u are comparing MY1.92(RON97) to SGD1.50(RON95 after discount)....thats a huge difference....even tho MY petrol only goes up and never come down. Its still very much cheaper than SG petrol by a galaxy. [shakehead][shakehead][shakehead]

No doubt that the petrol price there is cheap, but according to my MY colleagues who drives, they say the petrol price is alrdy killing their local population - workers in MY generally earn <50% of workers in SG.

That is very true, salary increase is minimal or non existent at all in most private sectors since the 1997 economic crisis.

That is at least very true for the IT/construction/engineering/biotech sector.

THe ones that are gaining are mainly in the financial/oil sectors.
