whoa...that literally takes out the whole boot space...

just wondering...can CNG tank be made standing instead of lying down flat??? standing safe more boot space..

also if there is a need to access the spare tire..will it be a hassle???

Alternatively, you can go for 2~3 smaller tanks.

I'll never imagine that CNG price will also rise [shakehead]

========================

U must also remember that gharmen have not tax CNG YET.

Once they have enough cars using it, I'm sure gharmen will start to put a tax on it, just like on petrol.

End up no savings at all. Plus u have the extra weight & more things to breakdown.

U cannot "win" when dealing with our gharmen. Dont lose $$$ U already can laugh. [bigcry]

because they need to spend money to buy equipment to ensure the accuracy .... by that time i scrap my car ....LOL i only have 5 years left in it.

And yes they encourage us to go green.

Oh yes dun join us and be stupid in running cng man ... it has no benefits so that we can enjoy the benefits for now.

No tax, CNG already selling at S$1.38 per Kg. If got tax how? then what's the point? New cars here only have artificial lifespan of 10 years. I wonder whether CNG is also subsidized in MY, since it is also less than half price of SG CNG?

To check, they just need to look at your CNG gauge. Same as how they check the petrol level.

If gharmen really so genuine in encouraging all motorists to "go green" they wud have gone for diesel a long time ago. [sly]

Well I am not 1 to go for gimmicks or gadgets unless they have been tried & tested fully. This CNG is still very new & still have many bugs to b worked out. We also can't b sure how the gharmen will decide to go regarding a CNG tax at the pumps.

I wil still prefer to stick to my usual regime of pumping in JB for the time being. At least I know what I wil b getting.

A couple of weeks back the Sat ST had a review on Optra CNG car which stalled 4, yes 4 times during the test drive. And this is a factory installed system. [dizzy]

I think this CNG thing is still in it's infancy & still got many bugs to b worked out. Lack of power is 1. Pricing is the other issue. Now we see the suppliers have already started to raise their prices. Wait the price is almost the same as petrol, then how? Ask the pple to take back the system & refund back your $$$. FAT HOPE. [laugh]

well said......

pls dont join cng ....

we dont need tat many pple....

lolz

======================

U have a very narrow view. Do u think the whole system can survive on the number of CNG cars on the road now? No way.

If too few pple join the CNG club, I'm certain they wil just close down the re-fuelling stations & where wil that leave u? With a $3K white elephant. [laugh][laugh][laugh]

Now it is still very new, so not many pple using. The whole idea is to get as many pple to use it as possible. Then once u r committed to it, they can do all sorts of things to raise the profit & u have not much choice but to pay.

Remember even petrol with several companies "competing" the prices r artificially regulated.

What more CNG with only 1 real supplier. U have to pay what he asks.

====================

CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) is actually a liquid when compressed but not as dense as petrol.
