I have been using one hand to drivin in MSCP abt 90% of the time. The few times i tried to use two hands, i was slower, more "spastic" and my passengers commented that i should stick to steering with one hand [laugh]

any views on this issue?

My view is that steering with one hand can be dangerous if ur steering wheel is slippery. other than that, anything goes. feel free to correct me or flame away [sly][laugh]

Sorry, not MSCP, butw as driving up United Square carpark one day.On the third floor some cleaning lady has sprayed / mopped the surface just after the up-ramp and as I was going a bit fast around the corner started sliding sideways. Scary stuff!.

So better drive with two hands...

2 hands always.

Even if only one hand is doing most of the job most of the time.

You never know when you need the other hand to help.

(Esp. which scary drivers/pedestrians these days... [dizzy])

If suddenly lose control and buay car, just scratch cars not so bad.

If some kid suddenly runs out and you run over him cos you only had 1 hand on wheel and cannot react fast enough, how you gonna live with that for the rest of your life? [knife]

Unless of cos, you used to drive a yellow Fiat Punto HGT called "Xiao Huang"... [lipsrsealed]

To each his own. Some may find two hands safer... some may find one had safer. Whichever works for you. Have you heard of the 1 hand steering technique? Even drifter's alternate from 1 hand driving to 2 hand driving. So it depends. There's no right or wrong. I use 1 hand to park my car. Use 2 hands on the straight or gentle bend. FYI. My car's non-power steering.

oh.. when I do drift my car during some private event. Its 1 hand steering. Which ever works for you that you feel the safest. [thumbsup]

i got to use 2 hands. it's impossible to turn with ease with 1 hand in the dc5.

steering heavy like a ton of bricks, dunno if it has anything to do with electric steering.

normally i don't take note.

sometimes two hands, sometimes right hand and sometimes left hand.

it just depend on my natural reaction and if my other hands are doing something or not.

depends on the condition and your reaction... no hard and fast rules on 1 hand or 2 hand or 2 hand & belly
