Yes, the MSCP above Old Town Cafe is the Resort Hotel carpark.

If you keep driving left alongside Old Town Cafe, there is one more carpark entry (abit hidden out of direct view). Not sure about guard/barrier here. If you don't enter here, and continue driving up the ramp, you will reach Resort Hotel driveway, and then the main carpark entry with barrier.

Not sure about the guard post you mentioned, may that is to allow gold card n above to enter.

Since we are talking about Resort Hotel carpark, those with high vehicles need to take note..........there is one intermediate downramp somewhere in the mscp, the ceiling is very low, iirc 1.7m, much lower than the main carpark entry. I almost drove my 1.8m down, luckily my wife alerted me in time, and we had to reverse up the ramp.

Ok got it. So I have to drive up the ramp and probably near the coffeebean? Is it an open carpark or MSCP? I am driving a Wish, is the parking small?

Do you happen to know if I want to park at Genting Highlands hotel, where is the valet booth? Its just outside the turning door or sliding door right?

Yes, drive up the ramp, immediately filter left at into Resort Hotel driveway, (coffee bean cafe inside hotel lobby), continue forward, take the left turn into the MSCP entry for Resort Hotel. Don't take the right fork which is the driveway exit. You can find suitable parking lot for your Wish, no problem. This is the same MSCP as above Old Town Cafe.

For Highlands Hotel MSCP, no need for valet, don't filter into Resort Hotel driveway, continue about 10~20m up the ramp, the Highlands Hotel MSCP entry is just right ahead on left lane. Watch out for other vehicles cutting from right lane. I have no idea about the valet service.

valet booth is at the main lobby, just pass the key and ringgit to the dudes in the lobby. They will park it at the open air carpark just opposite the hotel. The few times I used it, I actually told them to raise the carpark entry barrier for me and I parked my car myself.

note the genting hotel valet carpark is not the same carpark as the genting hotel carpark.

Copied from Genting website.............

What is the dress code to enter the Casino?

For the general gaming area, the dress code is smart casual. Patrons are advised to be dressed appropriately and to observe the following:

- Shorts and singlets are not allowed for male patrons

- Shoes or sandals with ankle strap for male patrons

- Sunglasses, hats/caps are not allowed

- No face masks

Hope the above info would be useful for you.

* if you are holding silver card, and wanted to enter the International Room, shirt/polo with collar is needed.

I remember many decades ago, you need to wear a long sleeve shirt with a tie or jacket OR a long sleeved batik shirt. No jeans or slippers/sandals were allowed. These days, who cares so long as you have money to gamble.

Just came back today from Genting. I would give it a missed at least for the next 1-2 years if I intend to bring my family. There are massive heavy construction going on everywhere. Several roads have been altered so you probably need to re-familiarise with the surroundings again. I think the air is not as fresh since heavy construction is everywhere,

If its purely for R&R amongst adults, maybe its still fine.

Me too, came back today. Was in Genting on 11-13 May2014.

Thought you going on Vesak Day [today].

Yup. Just got back too. Nothing much up there, lotsa renovation going on at the moment. Esso petrol station in the midst of changing to Petron. Lots of dust, outside air smells smokey like tuas industrial site. The outdoor theme park completely gone flat. Indoor theme park still the same old, not worth it.

Summary. Go only if you want to gamble or piak piak in the hotel. Everything else is boring. Kids won't like it. Come back after the 20th century fox theme park open in 2 years time bah.

I was at Genting yesterday and back today. Prior to that I stayed at KL first cause I anticipated nothing much can be done in Genting now.

I was denied entry to the casino due to wearing bermudas on Sunday, but ladies short pants is ok. Took the sky cable car, a good 15mins ride, real eye opener as compare to Sentosa cable car ride. Was told an international level theme park will be ready in 2015
