Relagsingh 4th Gear June 15, 2007 Share June 15, 2007 serious? i was in paris before and the only japanese car i saw was a toyota yaris! kudos to lexus! but this c-class beats it. really.
Relagsingh 4th Gear June 15, 2007 Share June 15, 2007 523? hmmm... fair comparison will be with the e-class. i'll choose the 5 series too. but with other mid executives, i'll take the GS300.
cefiro_dude Neutral Newbie June 15, 2007 Share June 15, 2007 Bro, while I agree that the general demographic of S-class drivers tend to be well-heeled and mature, I personally feel that the current S-class design can appeal to people of all age groups. (I mean I like it and I'm in my early 20s) The new S-class has muscular wheel arches, looks kinda low and in-ur-face, if I may say so. With a bit of doing up, it looks like something a rapper would be proud of. LOL. Or maybe its just my opinion. Anyway its packed with lotsa cool gizmos like infra-red vision and adaptive cruise control which simply up the bling factor of the car if u ask me. Anw, its just my personal opinion. Cheers
cefiro_dude Neutral Newbie June 15, 2007 Share June 15, 2007 Bro, I think the new C-class looks real sporty and cool. I wonder if it drives as gd as it looks. Btw I think the Lexus IS250 is heating up competition is this young executive car segment. Don't u think so??? Anw all this is gd for consumers. cefiro_dude Neutral Newbie June 15, 2007 Share June 15, 2007 Amongst the current BMW range, I only like the looks of the 7 series. If u ask me, the design of the 3 series looks real dated. I also prefer the looks of the older E46 3 series as compared to the current E90. As far as car design is concerned, I think very few cars (excluding supercars) can compare with the Alfa. cefiro_dude Neutral Newbie June 15, 2007 Share June 15, 2007 (edited) I love the looks of the CLS too. However, its really really really pricey. Edited June 15, 2007 by cefiro_dude
Mcfguy 1st Gear June 16, 2007 Author Share June 16, 2007 hmmm.... pretty good price. even though the 5k avantgarde upgrade may be a gimmick. if you haggle a bit, it'll be worth it. heard the current pricing of $157K is promotional price with the upgrade to avantgarde. Relagsingh 4th Gear June 16, 2007 Share June 16, 2007 actually, most mercs of late looks quite nice. here's my list: 1) SL 2) new CL 3) new C-class 4) S-class 5) current CLK And all look wicked in AMG guise.
Relagsingh 4th Gear June 16, 2007 Share June 16, 2007 hey same here. a big fan of the E46. if parked side by side with the E90, i'll go for the former. but the E92s look pretty decent. Alfa? beats them left right centre. even the old twin spark engines look like masterpieces with those chromed intake manifolds.
Shouyi 3rd Gear June 17, 2007 Share June 17, 2007 I think the C200 only comes with 5 speed auto, quite a disappointment considering that fact that BMW 320i and IS250 all has 6 speeder.
Relagsingh 4th Gear June 17, 2007 Share June 17, 2007 ermmm.... there's 7 speed g-tronic with flappy paddles available. but dunno for which models.
Kameltoh Neutral Newbie June 17, 2007 Share June 17, 2007 Hi, Think having a 7 speed g-tronic with paddle shifts will mean quite a bit of work-out on the fingers Don't u think so?
