Kangz 3rd Gear June 17, 2007 Share June 17, 2007 It depends on which BMW...if it's the 320 then yes. But I dun think the supercharged 4 pots can be compared with the I6 in 323 and above. ↡ Advertisement

Kangz 3rd Gear June 17, 2007 Share June 17, 2007 (edited) Looking at the bhp figures, the C230's chief competitor should be the 325 (albeit with a higher bhp at 217bhp). Torque figures are similar though. Just wondering about the price C&C will charge for this entry level V6. Edited June 17, 2007 by Kangz

Relagsingh 4th Gear June 18, 2007 Share June 18, 2007 ic.... mercedes made sure they did it right this time. instead of rushing to produce a 3 series competitor, they took their own sweet time (5 years) to develop this model. if they were to rush things then, it may get bloody and they will lose out. now the 3 is already in the market for 2 years, definitely they'll be more potential junior exec buyers looking at the fresh new c-class now. Ncss Clutched June 19, 2007 Share June 19, 2007 (edited) Mercedes development schedule quite standard for C, E and S class (about 7 years) Old S-class was first launch in S'pore end 1999, that's why their new S-class was launch in early 2007... - 4 years after model launch --> Facelift - 7 years after model launch (Or 3 years after facelift)--> Fresh new model E-class just facelifted... so the fresh model for E-class likely to be early~mid 2010 Note that current C-class was launch in S'pore in end 2000 Edited June 19, 2007 by Ncss

Kaka23 3rd Gear June 28, 2007 Share June 28, 2007 Yeah for the last three years bmw sold more cars than MB. But what about the years before those three years? MB profit more dispite selling lesser car than bmw is due to better strategic planning leading to lower cost price.
Devilmaycry Neutral Newbie June 28, 2007 Share June 28, 2007 Amongst the current BMW range, I only like the looks of the 7 series. If u ask me, the design of the 3 series looks real dated. I also prefer the looks of the older E46 3 series as compared to the current E90. As far as car design is concerned, I think very few cars (excluding supercars) can compare with the Alfa.
