Exactly! Main stream Merc is generally about overall superiority for all the occupants while BMW is more driver focused. The new C-Class will close the gap in terms of driving dynamics with the agility control thus rewarding the driver BUT still ensuring that the other occupants are pampered. At the end of the day, it depends on what the buyer is looking for.

it depends really.... some may go like: "duhz... not another merc/bmw?..." or maybe: "hmm... he should be doing well.."

 

for a 159 or any alfa per se: "hey... a 159, some acquired taste eh?"

 

if its the C6: "whoa! what the hell is this?"

 

i dun drive to impress others. i wana be impressed by my drive, all the time. my car, my choice.

The 320i direct competitor is the C180, not C200. C200 more natural competitor is the 323i. C200 is going for $156,888 with free upgrade to avantgarde worth $5k.

hmmm.... pretty good price. even though the 5k avantgarde upgrade may be a gimmick. if you haggle a bit, it'll be worth it.

Just saw the new C zip pass me in Paris a few hrs back. No doubt it catches attention. I've also noticed a lot of IS250 recently in a city not known to have many non-conti cars.
