3 years old car send for inspection

I purchased my car in Feb 05.

 

Feb 05 -> Feb 06 -> Feb 07 -> Feb 08 -> Feb 09

 

I have to send my car for inspection before Feb 08 (going to 3 years) or Feb 09 (after 3 years, going to 4th year)

 

Which inspection centre is more "lenient" ?

On Feb 08. Usually I go to the one at Sim Ming.

 

If you car is heavily mod then can ask your workshop to help b4 sending in.

LTA will send you a letter, informing you to send your car for annual inspection....usually they sent 3 months before road tax expiry.

oic.... i bought in Nov 2004, so they will send the letter abt Sep 2007? Is the process very time consuming? How long will it take? Where are the inspection centres?

Mine will be 3years in July 07. Got it inspected at STA Ayer Rajah and passed without any fuss.Cost me $60.90 for less than 15 minutes of dunno inspect what.

Maybe around Aug or Sep you should be receiving the letter from LTA... The process quite fast, around 10 minutes will be done. There are a few inspection centre, which is stated at the back of the LTA letter. I usually go to Ayer Rajah STA.

If you've not done anyhting to your car.... then it should pass w/o any issues. Can do it yourself.

 

But if you're afraid due to whatever reasons.... then your usual workshop should be able to provide you with this "service" to ensure it passes.

aiya.... all this inspection centre 'HAO SIAO' one lah.... u drive in wait 30 mins, inspect less than 5 mins, pay roadtax in a min. all in less than 1 hr.

Yes, they will send letter to you. You need to pass the inspection before you can renew the roadtax. Dun worry too much unless your car is heavily mod.
