Beavc Clutched August 1, 2007 Share August 1, 2007 Need help on the issue. I have thinking of changing my car to a Civic. What is the difference between the Civic from PI and Kah Motor? Any brothers or sisters have any experience on the matter? Thank you in advance! ↡ Advertisement

Passion 5th Gear August 2, 2007 Share August 2, 2007 PI model do not have side mirror signal while KM got.i talking about 1.8l.PI version at the boot not 1.8 iVTEC while KM has.The sound system for KM is fitted while PI one need to install yourselves.Regarding the engine,i'm not too sure.I think PI one is not iVTEC.Cuz i saw accord JDM got engrave iVTEC on engine, while PI version of CIVIC don't have. Watwheels Supersonic August 2, 2007 Share August 2, 2007 Engine same one lah. I went to the Japan website and did a comparison a year ago when I got my 1.8A VTIS. The difference is in the interior. There is a basic model with no paddle shift and the one which is similar to KM's. The rear seats can be folded to reach the boot for the JDM while the KM's cannot cos there's a rear strut. If u are an "ikea" person who needs the extra space go for the JDM. IMO rear seats with the hinges to make it foldable adds a lot of extra weight. For those ppl who removed their rear seats in their car will understand. And the hinges after sometime will squeak. And yeah there's the HU with their Japanese navigation and traffic report which I think will not be fitted when it is for export. KM has also add some minor details also. Except for the boot where there's no boot lining and boot hinge cover. Have to buy separately. For the Civic get from KM is better but for the Stream get the PI's RSZ. Carbon82 Moderator August 2, 2007 Share August 2, 2007 KM is basically the "GL" (JDM), while PI most commonly sold model are "G" or even bare basic "B" grade. BTW, the KM version not only does not have foldable rear seat, it lack centre headrest for the rear, as well as different front seat design. Civic GL Civic G Interior for KM Civic (1.8) See the differencs?
