bro... i got the same problem as u ley.. can free style but cannot breast stroke.. also went thru bmt, sispec and ocs.. bmt instructors gave up teaching me swim breast stroke.. my position and pattern of arms and legs all correct but cannot move.. i also air force..

My vocation require me to swim at least 100m in coverall or No.4, followed by thread water in the middle of the swimming pool 3m deep. Then make a float out of ur clothings in water and stay afloat for another 5mins to ensure ur float is working. Lastly jump from the 3m platform.

 

All these to be taken in one go. No resting.

during bmt do 6 pull up can already, no more den dat.. if you can do 12, next they they will demand more, 13.the next day 14 and so on.. haha..

Breast stroke, both hands must pull 1st then kick ur legs. If pull n kick at same time = not moving or moving very slowly.

I'm a swimmer but declare non-swimmer. Swimmer jialat leh, many many things to keep them busy. Area cleaning lah, RSM secondary jobs like gardening lah, etc.... Anyway our swimming lesson is 8am-10am every morning.
