how to advertise for singnet? this message is only for re-contracts. not even for new customers.....

I am on the hubstation and I must say the 1Mbps speed is sufficient for my needs. Sometimes I do leave my com switched on to run Seti for the whole night.

 

Havent DC before. Are you on maxonline?

I realised it doesnt disconnect because my skype and msn show online status in the morning and I dont set the MSN to auto connect when dc.Skype yes.

 

Well the dc syndrome could be localised or affecting only certain districts zone. I am guessing.

Hi Roverboy,

 

The hubstation is a modem on its own, so you dont need a separate modem. For wireless internet connection, you will need a router that support wireless connectivity. Hook the router to the hubstation, configure the router(use auto configuration will do), rename your router name,set security code,search through wireless network voila! You are connected.

 

For certain routers like the linksys model I am using, it has only two transmitters, so at one time, I can only use wireless connection on up to two PCs/wireless devices.

I tried it and the third PC didnt work... both at my parents house and at my own home.

 

For direct cable connection, yes, for wireless, no.

Hi Marquee,

 

I am paying less than $60 per month for internet and cable tv (3 basic channels, plus HBO and cinemax and sports channel, not EPL though)I think it is a good deal.

 

On top of that, hubstation can also be connected to a residential line which will cost $9.90 per month. I havent got that yet. Call charges I am not sure either.

 

For those who are considering in getting the hubstation, the 1Mbps internet connection, it may expire in Dec 2008. After that, it is up to Starhub to charge or extend the free usage.

You might want to check on the router setting to see if it's restricting only 2 MAC address to access.

 

By right, there's no restriction on the number of connection to wireless. Unless technology or security have taken a back seat.
